Oh have mercy (please stop changing avatar faces. PLEASE.)
The tweaks are small, I get that. People who game for questing and other features don't care, I get that too. But roleplayers, we care a lot when our avatar's face gets changed. Every time y'all have updated it, I've had to redesign my characters' faces. The past couple of months I'd finally been able to make peace with the last big update. Why why why have y'all gone and changed it again?
Don't like, please change back. Good on y'all for making new faces. There's nothing wrong with any of the models you've added so far. But please, please just add them to the array of available faces and quit changing the ones that are in use, please?
Yes, they do look pre-update. That, and the fact that they appear post-update on the login screen and at the barber, is why I'm hoping this is a glitch and not on purpose. On the off chance it is on purpose, though, I want to devs to know me and my role playing group isn't thrilled. In my options, the avatar update is checked to visible. So are my friends'. But in-game, the faces have been changed to some sort of eerie valley between pre-update and post-update. I think it was part of the tiny update they just had, and I'm seriously hoping it was a mistake.
Wellll..... every now and then I pause at the character screen and click that little box on and off ... and I can't tell any difference.
Maybe my eyes are too old!
Maybe it's that the rest of me is old too, and I long ago gave up giving a damn what I look like, and no longer care what my characters look like either. I took some care choosing their features when I first made the characters, but after that I quit worrying about it.
I'm sorry that so many players are having so much grief with what seem to me such minor changes. But it's in the eye of the beholder, and I can't take on your way of seeing, nor give you mine.
