This sums up all about it. How in the world are they fitting Gollum's story in the Second Age scenario? Everybody and their uncle knows that Smeagol finds the Ring sometime into the Third Age and he becomes Gollum because of Its influence. Everybody but the show producers, seemingly anxious on bandwagoning The Mandalorian for toy and merchandise profit. Who cares if the alienate their main target audience ie HxC Tolkien fans. They know too well that the casual masses will swallow their stupid ideas without a blink of the eye.
