I got helms deep when it was on sale for 99 lotro coins back in October... but the LOTRO store is trying to sell it to me again and its not listed on my account page

What you got for 99LP was the Quest Pack, which is different than the full expansion (not by much though).

The producer's letter states you're about to get Helm's Deep for free in April. So it'll work out even if it doesn't work out.

The company has a habit of generating new "packages" when it comes to their promotions. This sort of thing may inherently bypass the check that is in place when it comes to seeing whether someone owns something in the Lotro Store. A very common example is those who purchase the Expansion Trove and still see Moria Expansion in the store since the new bundle does not include the classes. The option is still there, but that does not mean you don't own everything else related to that expansion.

Since you bought the 99LP package, there is a good chance you either have everything or missing some minor feature like a cosmetic cloak or an extra level gate for your skirmish soldier. You can always try to compare for yourself in the small print to see what might not have been offered with the special deal you got during the promotion.

The reason why some are making this such a small matter is that whatever content you would have owned is going to become free in Update 33. If you can boot up one of the Epic Battles in the Instance Finder - available starting at level 10 - then you are good. If not, then wait a little bit and soon everyone will own it.
