Gold gifts should not be giving out dwarf candles and summoning horns. I would like to see them be a little more meaningful.
However, those battle potions of restoration have become much more valuable to me now that we have delvings, so I will happily accept those (the ones usable in combat that is.)

It's not free for paying subscribers.
Nothing is really free for paying subscribers, not even quest packs that are advertised as "Free to VIPs." All it means is, they don't have to pay extra, on top of what they are already paying, to access it.
