Lotro x64 Client unable to launch

Did not have this problem until yesterdays patch, have never encountered this error before.

I can launch the 32bit client just fine, but whenever i try and launch the 64bit I get a popup asking where the game client executable is, and upon selecting lotroclient64 it gives the above error.

What version of Windows are you running? Please be very specific. Is it an "N" version?

The OP of that thread was not willing to install a non-"N" version of Windows and for him at least that most likely would have resolved his problem.

...and the following procedure resolved that person's problem:

Go to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp...?view=msvc-170 and download from the "Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022" part of the page the X64 Redistributable package. Install the package. Restart your PC if needed.
