Need help with Quest

Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on Book 9, Chapter 3: Golodir's Request and I'm having an issue with starting the quest for Mathi. Is there a questline I need to do in advance before he offers it to me?

I've had no issues with the other 2 people I needed it's just an issue with the dwarf Mathi.

More information is needed.
While Book 9, Ch 3 may have you talking to Mathi (depending on your race), there should not be any special requisites for that

What race is your character? What does the quest tell you to do?
