Warning about current scam activity in game

"As we approach our anniversary we are again seeing scammers attempting to steal players' accounts with in-game messages. The most typical scam involves someone claiming to be a GM telling people they can get rewarded by following a link. NEVER FOLLOW THE LINK. GMs do not engage in promotional anniversary messaging, so any message claiming to come from a GM in world chat asking you to go to a web site is not legit. "

Thats why in most other online games colored text isnt allowed to players.
Also removing follow options solve lots of problems with bots.
Or having GM support 24/7 or alteast in the peak hours.

What we have now, just prevent ppl to follow any link, even helpfull one like wiki or lotro interface.
    Or simply youtube video share.
    Shame

    I need the FOLLOW option

As a very active non-scamming player, I nevertheless need the option to FOLLOW. I would object, vociferously, to it's removal.

Removing /follow would cause far more problems than it would solve.

If following links in chat text is hurting a lot of not-so-careful people, I would feel no pain at all if this was disabled.
