Major/Minor LI's for LOTRO Store LI slots

Does anyone know if, when you purchase the two additional slots for LI's on your weapon, whether you will be able to slot BOTH major or minor legacies, or will these store-bought-slots be restricted in some fashion 9i.e., just minor ones, or just stats, or just just majors or all of the above)?
Also.....if you already have a weapon with 7 LI's...will you now get nine LI'S (with the purchase of two slots).

You misunderstand. The announcement is that you can have 2 additional LI, not that you can have 2 additional legacies.

Hmmmm....this is cut and pasted from the dev diary:

We have also expanded the LOTRO store to include all existing Legendary Item scrolls, as well as giving a player the option to purchase two additional Legendary Item slots. (emphasis added)

I apologize if I am confused. My reading of this is that we could buy up to two additional slots for our weapons or class items, and if so, were there restrictions on what scrolls can be used to fill them.

You may buy two more slots to level/use LI in, not two more legacy slots on the LI itself. This has been confirmed on the preview server already.

    Cicdle is correct.

It's two additional LIs, not legacies. Instead of having 6 LIs at once you can now have up to 8.

Now I understand. (I do not play on the test server). I apologize for my confusion.
So i can now slot up to eight 2A or 3A items to work on leveling, instead of the current six?
    'Got it.

Thank you for clearing that up!

does anyone know if the two slots are advisable? My question is in terms of how the ixp gets split between the 8 items vs the 6 items. Will it still pay to level 8 or will it be diminishing returns?

I think you just gave Turbine their next store item.

This is my question exactly. I'm presuming that slotting 8 LI's will be more beneficial than 6 LI's in terms of total IXP gained per kill/quest/etc., if it wasn't, then I can't imagine people spending TP for such a feature.

I would think this would be easy enough to test, if indeed the 8 slots is already available on Bullroarer.

    Any validity to this?

Not as yet, no. And I would not hold my breath...

...and I'd expect a 2 in front of the first cost and a 4 in front of the second if they ever came to pass.

RE: Is it advisable to obtain the two addtional LI slots...

    IMHO: Heck Yes!!!

Since we can now, (albeit with much pain and suffering) make SURE our LI's have the legacies we want I know I will want to have healing vs damage items (2 of each) for my minstrel, my RK, and most probably my captain). I can easily see also having LI's that favor grouping vs solo play for my hunter and guardian, maybe the other classes too... At any rate, assuming you have 4 LI slots dedicated to such items, having an additional 4 for leveling up to decon/strip etc seems entirely reasonable to me.
