Would be nice to award according to /played time but that only works for Creeps.

My freep is only R4 as I started PvMP only a couple months ago, but after reading through 5+ pages of this thread, this suggestion by the above would clear most of the problems.

If you are rank 10 by October 31, then you get a title and a cosmetic cloak, awesome! If you are tank 10 AT ANY TIME, you get a different looking R10 cloak BUT with the same stats... I don't think anyone would disagree with this (and have a valid argument that is).

There are other new rewards for high ranks. It's not about rewarding high ranks, it's about gating it for a month.

If it's about the high rank, leave it always available to high ranks.

It would be my hope that the PvMP rewards are slightly better than crafted items to make them worth acquiring but inferior to instance drops. Otherwise it would make participation in one aspect of the game (PvMP) an advantage in another (PvE), which seems unfair. Especially to non-VIPs.
    No..
Some people put their play time into raiding, others into PvMP..PvMP is at least as challenging as raiding (imho Raiding is facerolling compared to PvMP..I seem to use twice as many skills in the Moors than in a raid)
PvMPing should be as much of an advantage in PvE as Raiding is an advantage in PvMP

I agree completely. Placing a finite time period in which these quests can be completed rewards one play style; that of the solo character player. If you play more than one character in PvMP (like myself- I have many rank 6-8 characters), are on a less active server, a newer server or simply haven't had the time to grind out rank 10 then you are being told that you are out of luck. Limited time quests that reward one play style under the illusion of rewarding players "who have been here for the long haul" are simply not fair nor a true representation of veteran status.

I have to agree with this. R10 is an achievement whether you get it before November 1st or two years from now. I don't see any point in making it available for only a couple of days.

I've been moorsing since fairly early in SoA, but as a serial altaholic, I don't have a toon that i could easily get to rank 10 before october 31st, but i do have about 6 characters between rank 6 and 8, and easily have enough renown to be a rank 10 if it was all in one place.

This rank restriction seems a bit of a slap in the face to people in my position. I know I'm not the only one either, I can think of at least 7 or 8 friends that have been moorsing since SoA but due to playing a number of characters, their highest rank is about 8, in most cases having 2 or 3 toons around rank 8 (easily rank 10 worth of renown, all alts considered).
^This point is valid. Rank should be account-wide.

Really like the new PvP Gear. It's definitely worth obtaining, and thankfully, the pve item grind was reconsidered. The new grind looks to be much more reasonable and manageable.

Love the two exclusive quests you gave to the Vets that have stuck it out in the Moors. Nice touch.

    Few Questions and Comments

-I think Rank 4 is too early for Freeps to get the first piece of jewellry for their set. Rank 4 can be done in one day, if not just a few days, and it seems to me that obtaining the Good GV Map is reward enough. Even pushing it out to Rank 5 would be better.

-Will we still be using Tokens of Valor in RoI?

-Is the Loot in the GV Chests being updated? Will we still use Tokens of Valor to obtain the loot?

-Thought I remembered reading that Kelsan stated a second PvMP set would be launched soon after RoI. Is this true? Still the case?

-Still disappointed that peeps will get renown for doing quests, but we have known for some time that this change was coming.

-Don't care much about the Session Play changes. Haven't rolled a Ranger since SoA. Pretty fun that they will be able to map into places. Creeps are going to love that. lol

-You really should consider adding a way for Freeps to access the Moors aside from VIP. The way PvMP is beginning to shape out, it's beginning to look like a zone worth staying in permanently. Why not give F2P players options through the Turbine Store to unlock PvMP for TP on their Freep toons?

Overall, a pretty good pass for Freeps Kelsan. Thank you.

Sorry, that cloak is not for Carebears. It is a PvMP reward. Too bad, so sad...

You have a few weeks to hit Rank 10. GoGoGo!!

I guess I should have stayed on my Rank 8 creep on Vilya instead of moving to Ridder to help populate the new server.
I have similar sentiments. My Creeps were my original PvMP toons back in early SoA. Because of the Creep:Freep number imbalances that began to occur in MoM, I switched to Freep and stopped playing my Creeps often. I remember getting 1-2 infamy a kill on my Reaver and thinking it was great. Back in early SoA there was no DR, there was no Charge, and Ranking on a Creep was tough. Now peeps can faceroll the class with only marginal difficulty and hit R10 easily.

I will be able to acquire the rewards on my Freep, but I didn't roll him until MoM. LOL Kind of strange...

This is a great point. If anything, push the date out to Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Sorry, but "since it all started" doesn't apply to Imladris, since Imladris wasn't around since it all started. In fact, Imladris wasn't even around the last time there was an expansion. lol

I too agree on your statement and your quote and everybody else that have the same opinion. I made a thread on the RoI section before I saw this thread but I just wanted to state my opinion here too.

Ok, the (apparently) awesome cloak is one thing, but the titles are quite another. I don't think I'm terribly unusual, and my freep has approximately a bajillion titles. What is the sense in getting upset about one more?

So the extra stats that pvpers were promised are a no-show?
Not suprised at all with all the whine from PvEers.. .

I mean look at all this crying about one stupid cloak imagine if we had stats passed on pve land..Oh the horror.. .

And btw the "uber-cloak" is not so uber search a bit to find its stats and compare it with the rank1 cloak and come back to post here.. .

pvp can now be pve'd so give us the battle field promotions like creeps so we can at least stand somewhat of a chance.
