Borfin has never held off on using his pledges against me, it just doesn't make as much of a difference since you don't block shouts and Warleader melee attacks come at a much slower pace. Guard hit's Pledge, I start a heal and turn off auto-attacks.

Speaking of Borf fights, we need to fight when both of us have used food. When only one of us does the outcome is pretty much a foregone conclusion.
