First off let me apologize for not saying plants/seedlings is wrong, I was pondering your current riddle
Secondly, Tea is correct. Its not a very good written riddle, but I'm glad someone at least was able to guess it Good work!

Ahh, right on! Boy I'm having fun with this riddle thread today (don't tell the boss).

And Bailo, I thought that riddle was quite good, I may tell it to a few friends of mine to see if they can figure it out. I drink tea every morning so I should have thought of that quicker methinks.

I think you might have Eomer mixed up with his pops, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. The answer is indeed Theoden, king of Rohan. Eomer/Theoden, close enough

Could the answer to your riddle be Turin and Beleg? I can think of many different pairs of people who were "a brilliant team." It would seem to me that many would fit this riddle. Perhaps I'm just missing something here...

I've been watching this thread for a little while, and it peaked my interest. So I put together a simple little riddle to throw into the mix. Bear with me, as it's my first riddle, and I'm afraid it may be a little too vague...

I hold my fortune with no lock and no key,
Secured with no knob or no latch.
You felt joy when my fortune was heroes set free,
You are irked when my fortune is black.

No, it was simply announced in Regional about 10-20min before the event. Devs have said that if they posted it on the forums, it would crash servers as thousands of people descended on Crickhollow, etc.

There are actually some specific clues in this riddle as to who or what I'm talking about, once you see them... most of the words are fairly carefully chosen. Ok, there's one very specific clue.

Well now, Womdon, that is a very good guess. As it makes sense of 'heirs unannounced,' 'thinly veiled,' and the last two lines. It is not, however, what I was thinking of. The very last line is the payoff; it is a very particular reference (to something rather different from what people have been thinking).

I had intended my riddle to have another quatrain, which would probably help, but couldn't come up with something that fit the rhyme scheme. I'll work on expanding it more today.
