I'm guessing when we see the other class update, all dots will be uncurable like the defiler's and reaver's. Le sigh... the prebook 10 wound pots I've been hoarding (and the "cure 3 wound" bracelets I farmed for) are now all useless.

Yay @ Non-curable hamstring and more damage for Dev. Any word on how much more damage? Makes me sad seeing Captains and Minstrels hitting bigger numbers than my Dev Strike.

    Re: Upcoming Changes to PvMP!

even as a diehard freep, this list of changes strikes me more as fluff than the sort of substantial changes people are holding their breath for.

I think at this point people are rightly skeptical, it was not long ago moria was being hailed as an evolution in lotro pvp and i admit even as a beta tester a lot of what was 'sold' to us looked great on paper... we did not intially absorb the full impact of avoidance/mit/resist reductions and dps disparities.

Sad to say but the prediction myself and others made that the over the top dps increases freepside would create similar issues as the prior avoidance/mit/resist imbalances, has now come to fruition.

One monster has been dealt a death blow but another has rared its ugly head and as much as we tried to bring it up in beta we got absolutely shutdown by turbine to the point of a forum section being removed.

You don't care what we have to say about the core issues, well im not surprised many people arent excited and grateful for announcements of more fluff changes.

And yes i fully understand pvp devs are underresourced/staffed... so imo the blame goes more to the pve and combat system decision makers who created this mess pvp devs are scrambling to clean up.

As always I hope my negativity is misplaced and off the mark... i want the game to succeed.

I really hope this is being tested by players right now... if not we can expect a whole new raft of issues for bk8 to address.

Freeps will just stop coming out. It will be the reverse of the present moors. I love my LM, but there is no point in coming out on freep-side if the devs are serious about this one.

I took a tour of the moors with my level 40 minstrel during the "busy" part of the day on Landroval without even meeting one creep. It is not excessive to declare the creep population absent at this moment.

Know what I would like to see? Arrows not go through walls, rocks, and trees. Oh, and how arrows have honing skills and can find you after you use Disappear. While I'm at it, can I request that Creep mitigations NOT seem to be all in the red (they are 4000 something MINUS 2000 something).

Can't wait to see what you have in store (aka restore) for Wargs.

    DEFILER
-Anointing of the Slick Flesh now has a 1 minute cooldown.
-Blessing of Darkness will now be affected by the Enhanced Slime trait.
-The damage over time effect of Headbreaker and Fire Gourd will now stack with other players using the skill on the same target.
-The following effects from Defiler skills are no longer curable: Fire Gourd (damage over time) and Plague Gourd (damage over time).
-Curse of the Melancholic Heart has been changed to Fear resistance type.
-Curse of Deadly Sorrows has been changed to Disease resistance type.
-Fixed a bug where Fast Lob was not reducing inductions of gourd skills correctly.
-Enhanced Slime will now properly reduce threat from healing.

    REAVER
-Glory in Victory has had its heal over time component increased.
-Blood Lust and Time-out will now have 45 second durations and 1 minute cooldowns.
-Time-out’s in-combat power regeneration bonus has been increased to +300.
-The damage over time effect of Lacerate will now stack with other players using the skill on the same target.
-The following effects from Reaver skills are no longer curable: Blinding Dust, Hamstring, Jagged Cut (damage over time), Lacerate (damage over time), Mutilation (damage over time) and Sundering Blow.
-Devastating Strike’s damage has been increased.
-Wrath will now drain 50% of the Reaver’s current health and add 75% of the amount drained to power.
-Increased the armour debuff of Sundering Blow.
-Fixed an issue where Enhanced Upper Hand did not increase the duration of the Upper Hand debuff.

So here are just some of the changes we have in store for Book 7. We will release more information about upcoming changes in the weeks to come.

this bodes well for what is coming for weavers...stacking dots (toxin?)...uncurable dots (tk? toxin?...pehaps Hatchlings? ) I'm feeling like perhaps weavers will get a fair pass w/this update.

Until you realize that when Jalessa said she was "giving creep dps a second pass to bring it up to par with freeps" it was just blowing smoke.

Defilers deserved and needed a damage boost. They got a few bug fixes, no increase in damage or healing. Fail update for them, really.

The DoT from our Fire Gourd stacking is a bug fix. Pre-MoM they always stacked, you just never saw it because it was rare enough to have multiple Defilers in a group, let alone have those Defilers attacking (especially at the same time) rather than healing.

The majority of Defiler 'updates' are bug fixes, the reduced CD on "Annointing of the Slick Flesh" aside.

Ix if freeps stop coming out to the moors because of this:

-The following effects from Reaver skills are no longer curable: Blinding Dust, Hamstring, Jagged Cut (damage over time), Lacerate (damage over time), Mutilation (damage over time) and Sundering Blow.
-The following effects from Defiler skills are no longer curable: Fire Gourd (damage over time) and Plague Gourd (damage over time).

    THE ONLY skills not curable

    And only ones that stack:
-The damage over time effect of Lacerate will now stack with other players using the skill on the same target.
-The damage over time effect of Headbreaker and Fire Gourd will now stack with other players using the skill on the same target.

Lol, there are some people in here who will never be happy and I hope you take their opinion with a grain of salt. I'm not talking about anyone who complains once, I mean the ones who just complain about ANYTHING.

The reaver updates are great, but the defiler ones are definitely lacking. They need more dps OR their gourds need to be lower induction/cd. Their heals also need a buff, the 173/190 heal on the run is a joke when auto-attacks from one hunter (and a probably some other classes) annihilate that.

Nice work though... *prays for induction/disappear fixes*

Personally I think the Updates are great, as I play a reaver in the moors. I do however think that one of them is far too OP. Sundering blow is already spammable, and having 2 reavers around can basically guarantee a huge armor rend all the time. Having that in addition to it not being curable is way overpowered. I'll love it on my creep, but I don't think I'll take my freep out to the moors much.
