    Two out, two in
    One in

Hopefully no one has heard this before...

I can run but not walk. Wherever I go, thought follows close behind. What am I?

    Fire!

    In case I'm right....

    Of trees I am made,
    But no plant am I.
    Treasure I contain,
    For the wise to spy.
    Thought I provoke,
But don't take me for a soak!
    What am I?

That would be paper, I believe. Now, allow me to take a bit to make up a new one.

    Here:

    Though dead I am mighty,
    when to parchment I'm brought.
    No minion, a pinion,
    My blood becomes thought.

It is indeed a quill. I would post another riddle except that I haven't been able to think of one yet.

Not quite a typical riddle, but it makes you think like one

You come to a trench that goes as far as you can see to either side. It is 50 feet deep, 50 feet wide, and there is *nothing* around to secure a rope to, yet all you have to get across with is an unlimited supply of rope. How do you get across?

OK, I don't know if this the real answer, but with an unlimited supply of rope, you could throw it down in the trench so it made a big ol' pile and then climb down the pile. Move it over or make another great big pile on the other side and climb up it.

Chew off your left leg and attach it to the bottom of the rope, throw it over and then try to hop across before it falls?

Well, if it's unlimited then you keep throwing rope into the trench until it fills up.

    Re: The Riddle-Game

Considering its been more than a week since the creator posted im going to go ahead and pull out the old rusty riddle maker:

    An endless cycle,
    Twins like that of Hermes,
    Snowmen's treasure
    Finrod's Gift and
    Aragorn's Heirloom

hmm definitely not as good as my first few but you can guess all the same

The Ring of Barahir, given to Barahir on the battlefields of the North by Finrod Felagund. Two snakes, one upholding while the other devours.

I forget the Snowman reference, did the Snowmen save it for Arvedui's heir?

I'm no good at making riddles, I'm only good at solving them! Someone who is better, please feel free!

Good Job, Arvedui gave the ring to the Lossoth for all the help that they had given him. The dunedain then bartered it from the Lossoth and held onto it until it was given to Aragorn

    New riddle time!

    From trees I am born
    By machines I am formed
    Through thought labored
    In time delivered

    From blankness to life
By pencil, pen, keyboard brought alive
    Through poetry and prose illuminated
    In fine words cumulated

    What am I?
