    Virtues need some loving

Lets be honest about Honesty. Either the Honesty page is wrong or the Virtue page is wrong, because the first reports that at rank 10 your armour value will be +25 and the second reports that at rank 10 your armour value will be +270. Honestly, that seems like a rather significant difference to me. I'm inclined to believe that it's the Virtue page that's correct -- a +25 armour bonus seems like a drop in the bucket at level 60, but I've been wrong before. In all honesty, most of the virtue pages need loving. In addition to numerical discrepancies, many of them still list percentile values instead of the static numbers that replaced those old percentages.

I think it would be best to just delete all the numbers that seem incorrect. We can then go through and list the values we see for each of our characters at each rank level. Eventually, we'll have the correct values filled in again.
As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he joined the Smaug The Dragon raid. Then he asked for leadership, looted the chest, assigned himself the 1st age Arkenstone and mailed it to an alt (Bilbo's a VIP so can mail from anywhere). They did some PvMP and an Epic Battle, then he apologized and gave the Arkenstone back because it wasn't BoA. He kept the pony.

The numbers in both of those places are user contributed; you can edit them at your whim. So... get to it!

Though you might want to wait a bit on the Honesty type pages; I have a sneaking suspicion about those...

Better to just collect the correct numbers and put them in than to delete older data that's there.

270 armour is what it provided in SoA. Looks like the overview page never got update for MoM.

Has the value changed from 270 for MoM?

Now that all of the available traits and benefits per rank are listed in-game most people probably wont even use the lorebook to look them up except for out of game reference.

No, I think the 25 was SoA, and the 270 is MoM. But it's still out of date. And my information isn't complete enough that I'd only have piece-meal corrections, so I never bothered updating.
It was the King Color, of which all the other colors are merely partial and wishy-washy reflections. It was octarine, the color of magic. ...
But Rincewind always thought it looked sort of a greenish purple.

Well... when the next update goes out, there might be a very good reason for people to look up virtues in the Lorebook...

Are Vitues getting an upgrade?? That would be pretty awesome.

Is this change visible on bullroarer?

No, I'm hinting at an upcoming change at how virtues are displayed on the Lorebook, a display that will make it worth the while to look up the info. in the Lorebook.

what would make it worthwhile to look up in the lorebook? Can't you just look at it in your character panel.

You can look it up in your character panel, but that only gives you a certain level of detail. Now, think about what other sort of useful information you might want to know about virtues... What might be interesting to see about a virtue that the character panel can't tell you, but the Lorebook could...

All of the possible places where said virtue can be obtained, with the exception of any hidden deeds (but I think those just give titles, right?). I tend to forget even after 2 years and hate going through every single area in the deeds panel and clicking through to see what I need and where, especially when I'm on a noob that doesn't have a lot of kill deeds open yet.

That's my thought too, though most of that info can already be found at lotro-wiki.com, though it's community updated, obviously. Hehe, I almost never use the lorebook because I'm so used to all the goodness over there.

You can sort the list by the stats along the top, and you can click an individual virtue to see both what it gives at different ranks as well as what deeds advance the virtue.

Hehe, I typically go there when I make a new character and I plan out exactly which virtues I want (usually 6-8) and exactly which deeds I need to do in which zones to max them. I know, I'm a geek.

Seeing as how Lorebook is now accessible in-game, it's basically the same thing. That makes it even more useful

I was going through all the virtues and there are tons of ICMR traits but absolutely none that give you ICPR. I never really noticed it before because power was never too much of an issue. With the changes in power coming up, I wonder... will there be new traits to combat the impact of that?

Wow, I wish. Hehe. My Burglar, and especially my Warden, would kill many, many, many, many mobs for that. hehe

Thats a very useful layout. The only thing that would really improve it would be if it gave instructions on how to advance them right there on the same page.

I'd think a conversion into percentage for each level 5-60, for each rank of Virtue. But maybe I'm way off.
