Here's my attempt at creating a Ranger outfit:

Realized I was pretty tired of some of the outfits my low-level crafting characters were in - they've been in them for over a year, in most cases. Being low level (24-33) their choices in what to wear are pretty limited, but a bit of time spent scouring AH and the armour vendors and cosmetic vendors in a few locations ended up with these outfits:


Captain Miffy Ayrhedd, my scholar, in a stunning black, tarnished silver, and violet ensemble comprised of:
- Chainmail Chestpiece of Might (AH)
- Steel Shoulder Guards (crafted)
- Dwarf Steel Gauntlets (AH)
- Plain Cloak (Bree cosmetic vendor)
- Rough Cloth Leggings (Crafted)
- Soft Leather Boots (Bree cosmetic vendor)

I'd like the leggings and boots to be heavy armour as well, but so far have not found any pieces that match the top half well enough.

Next up, Iztariani, my ranger/metalsmith:

She's wearing:
- Leather Hauberk (Bree cosmetic vendor)
- Leather Boots (Michel Delving cosmetic vendor)
- Fancy Quiver (AH)

And finally Orri Gami, my dwarf champion and weaponsmith:

That robe is from rep vendors in Lothlorien, at Cerin Amroth if I remember correctly. Default colouring is white and gold.

That's actually just a Dwarf-make Hauberk that's for sale at the Outfitter in Thorin's Hall. Turquoise dye'd, of course.

My elf's travelling garb. I was trying to sort of match the look of Elladan and Elrohir. Trouble is that there aren't detailed enough elven shirts in the light armor to come close to their look so I had to go a little less showy. (EDIT I have changed to the Golden Tree Cloak dyed grey for this outfit, looks great!)

I'm not especially fond of the Gloom-Bane chestpiece, but I did find a random drop that works pretty well with it (and has a really nice collar). Most of the armor is dyed Violet, but it came out lavender. A shade of lavender that matches the secondary accents of the chest, which is actually dyed grey.

Iron and lavendar. There's a poem there...

As happy as I was with how the recent makeover of my Captain went, tonight I decided it was time to attempt a similar refreshment of my Guardian's outfit... the poor dear has been wearing the same blue Ceremonial dress for over a year! Fine when she's just standing around making jewellery, but not something that looks sensible when she's out remonstrating with orcs. Unfortunately, her underlying mishmash of crafted and quested armour is a visual horror.... so off to the AH I went to see what I could find in the 25-and-under range.

I like her in blue, so she's ended up with a less dramatic look then Captain Miffy's black, silver and violet combo:

The outfit consists of:
- Enduring Dwarf Steel Breastplate of Determination (AH)
- Heavy Dwarf-Make Bronze Shoulderguards (crafted)
- Elven Defender's Gloves (crafted)
- Quilted Leggings (crafted)
- Dwarf Leather Boots (AH)
- Cloak of the Sunset (Moria pre-order bonus)
- Fine Elven Circlet (AH)

Yes, once again I was unable to find heavy armour leggings that I was happy with. I did find some steel boots that would have worked, but they looked a little odd with these leggings, and when I hit the big stompin' boots while checking medium armour, she told me "I want THOSE ones!".

I'm not sure I'll keep the gauntlets - they're the only elven piece in an an otherwise dwarven set of armour, and if I can scare up a dwarf-made equivalent, it would be a better match. I may have to take a stroll through my armourer's recipes and see what I can find.

My LM wears an ornate robe in red and white...she's just flashy

My Minstrel wears an elegant white and gold dress to display her regal side.
