So who won the symbol from the lotto?

Just wondering who actually won it, and how many were won?

You can probably find out by checking the Auction House.

I'm betting around 1/5 per world were won by creeps who can't receive mail. LOL I had to keep deselecting mine from the entries for the past several days.

But nope, I didn't win one.

I think the lotto is broken cause I didn't get one

*sigh* @ 5 per world. You need to run these like you did for the Festival lottos, like every 3 hours with 20 per world until I get one.

For this reason, I would not be opposed to having any Symbol Lotteries being only available from each character's screen instead of having them available through the select all. With so many lottos running, it's too easy to have creeps/session players be entered. I don't think it would happen, but I for one wouldn't mind.

I think that might be a little too generous. There are more lotteries planned with Symbols as prizes. More than a couple in fact.

Im glad to hear after 102 sg runs and no symbol a alternative is very much a welcomed chance.

Yep, waiting 4 or 5 days for a lottery to be drawn... for 5 symbols... was a little much. As others have mentioned, more lotteries for those of us who keep running SG and have never won would be quite welcome.

    Thank you Sapience.

It was a jest (hence my comment 'until I win'), but I agree it would be too much. I do look forward to more lotteries with this prize though. Thanks for the feedback.

Everyone seems to be having problems with their creeps getting into the lotteries. There is a real simple work around if you use Firefox and possibly some of the other browsers that use tabs. Just load each character into it's own tab, close all the other tabs that aren't related to the lottery and save the tabs as a bookmark. Then, just right click the bookmark, select open all tabs. You can then select each tab in order and select the lotteries interested. It also gives you an easy way to see what you have won without having to log each toon in and then back out.

Each world got 5 symbols and you won 2 of them? Wow. Quick go play the lotto. Shame on you if you really did win them for entering your creeps.

But then again, I probably just missed the joke!! Lol

To everyone who won a Symbol of Celebrimbor today:

    ...and your mother, too!

So, yeah, I did not win a Symbol. While I feel bitter, it is probably nonsensical to feel wrath toward a computer running a RNG program.

It would seem that whoever won a symbol is either at work, asleep, busy or in some other way oblivious to the fact they won, OR they are running through the streets of every major town in-game saying "I WON! I WON!" and we who are stuck at work unable to log in are not hearing them. Congrats to those lucky people who did win one!

    HEH, in before the delete...plezzzeeeee

They wont delete it, It wasnt a mean statement...and besides i was hungry and have now finished lunch.....

Anyway, just saying that the weapons will be replaced in a few months (In my Opinion). So there is no harm to giving a "chance" at a good id on a LI that is "rare" for now.... But they arent so rare still are they? I thought (and again Im sure im wrong) those that wanted the item already have more then a few, and now they just go straight to the AH...
But I can see those that dont have them and would like them just cant put the time into farming the instance, so at the eleventh hour, just give a "gift" to those that still need one...That was all I was saying....
Sorry if it came out bad or still is..not my intention....

The writ of Virtue, which addresses a long standing player desire for lower costs at bards, was intended exactly as you propose, a thank you to every current subscriber for being a customer. Much as last year we gave every subscriber the Writ of Travel that granted a permanent discount on stable master routes.

The lottery system isn't a thank you tool per se, it's a kind of game outside the game. It's used for a lot of things, most of them intended to be fun diversions while you're at work or otherwise unable to log into the game.

I think the Carrot Cake and Hope lottery as well as the Potato and Coal lotteries made that pretty clear.
