Oh wow!

This is the second time I see some concept art and wish I could get it bigger so I could se it as a wallpaper (the other one was http://lotroimages.akamai.lotro.com/...s_crossing.jpg ).
Would be soooooo cool if... errmm.... "someone" could poke someone else within Turbine to release larger version of (at least) those pictures :-)
Wer Böhses säht wird Onkelz ernten.
With the release of F2P in Europe, I finally got a chance to explore the new book. Haven't gotten so far into Enedwaith yet, but found some cool nuggets in the new elf-ruins.
SPOILER:
The last one especially, made me pause for a moment while I picked up my jaw, certainly didn't expect to see that. War of the Elves and Sauron, anyone?

As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

Yesterday I was tooling around Hunter's Notch outside Nogland. I climbed a pointy hill and on top was a snowman! What a treat. And what could be a better name for an instrument than "Moor Cowbell".
I love the spirit of this game.
Happened to be in the area of Brockenborings, and always remember seeing those wooden bridges in the sky in that lil goblin hollow. Well turns out you can get there and walk them. Thanks Turbine, got some nice screenies too.

Reading through this thread again made me smile and made me remember why I enjoy this game so much. Well done Turbine for keeping us coming back and looking for more of these little easter eggs.
With 101 pages, I'm not sure if this is a repeat but thought I'd share.... I have read most of this thread from time to time, and I don't think this was in there --- and I'm not taking credit for this, as it's pretty well known.
I've always loved the Goblin-town Throne Room scene, where the Leader throws the Emissary into the "Pit". Of course, in the pit is a level 51 Elite Master Troll named Horm, The Pit-Beast, that destroys the Emissary. To me, it's always reminded me of the Jabba the Hutt scene with rancor in the pit. Big nasty ugly troll = Rancor.
But the dialogue is also quite like the beginning of 300. Just before throwing the Emissary into the pit:
Bhoghad, Emissary to Goblin-town says, ''To defy our might and our strength is...madness!''
Ashûrz the Great Goblin says, ''Madness? Madness? You fool!''
Ashûrz the Great Goblin says, ''This is Goblin-town!''
The whole scene is shown here:

If you never liked (or went to) Golbin town, explore some more - there are many more Easter Eggs in there than this!
Radian- Champion- Landroval
I remember seeing the fox near the campfire the hobbits stayed at behind... drawing blank now lol... the town across the way from Hobbiton. Remember in the FOTR when the fox sees them and says something then just walks away? Also, the hobbit cloak dropped by one of the Dark Riders out front of Crickhollow. All the little things in this game make it that much cooler.
"In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit."

When Bilbo found that shiny ring in Gollum's cave of gloom,
he never thought that it would turn into a Ring of Doom.
The dragon, Smogg, the spiders, too, the goblins, the elven king,
they came to know the power of the hobbit and his Ring.
Frodo of the nine fingers and the Ring of Doom.
It started with a Hobbit in Gollum's cave of gloom.

Wow! I just finished reading this entire thread and compiling a list of the things mentioned that I haven't seen. I suddenly have no desire to level, craft, quest, skirmish, or do anything but visit all these nuggets. Thanks to everybody for pointing them out and the devs for putting them in.

Noticed earlier today that the skeleton just in front of Balin's Tomb, is the skeleton of Ori, whom we play as during the Epic chapter "We Cannot Get Out".
Ok, this one isn't really hidden. In fact, now that I see it, it seems quite obvious; The armour, the beard, the hair, it's all the same. Still, it somehow took me two years to notice it![]()

Just read this entire thread and loved all the nuggety goodness. Well read all of it except for pages 7, 12 and 21 which are giving me some sort of odd hyperscripty stuff.
Ran a search but I didnt find any mention of goblin town. In the tunnels heading to Gollums Cave you can see drawings made by the goblins that depict parts of the book "The Hobbit". There's a a drawing of Gollum, one of the Goblins surrounding the dwarves in the trees and another about the eagles coming. This was really the 1st easter egg that I really noticed. Made me appreciate the work that went into this game even more.
Not from Tolkiens lore but;
The bunny rabbit is pure win.

Whilst playing the game I'm always looking out for these kinds of things, and I get rather excited when I do find them =D *nerd* But this thread is so great, it really shows how much thought has been put into the game - it's part of what makes the game so fun too =)
