Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Hi I am currently a level 42 champ (race of man) I play on crickhollow, my champs name is Buromier, I live in NY so my time zone is EST. I am looking for a good kinship with mature ppl. To help out w fellowship quests, instances, and get into some raids. Im currently building up my champs virtues (some are at 10) and doing the epic quests but want to experience all of middle earth. I like to help others as well, I usually play around 10-20 hrs a week so I would like an active kinship with various levels. Let me know if any Crickhollow kinships would be interested in my services.
    Thanks Tullkas

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

I'm a level 60 Captain named Edwyl on Brandywine
Need a kin that focuses well on high-level instances and raids
    I'm 17 years old. (Male)
For timezone issues, I live in Utah, and play usually from 8-11 PM
Haven't really played any other MMORPG, but I've been an active LOTRO player from before the F2P release.
I feel I know my class rather well, but I would love to advance my skills in fellowships. (Healing, off-tanking, etc.)
Give me an Email here or in-game, hopefully I'll find a good kin soon.

(I also have some friends and siblings that are looking for a kin like this as well, so if you get me you might get one of the best Wardens in the game. .)

Cool Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Your name, or character name and race:

    KoKoBlue, Hunter, Level 39

    Age:

40+ Female (No drama here, just want to play the game with like-minded folks)

    Preferred server(s), if any.:

    Gladden

    Location:

    Florida, CDT (night shift worker)

    Playstyle:

My play style is solo but I would love to be in group so that I can share fellowship quests. I am open to possible raiding but this style is not the only way I want to play. I love roleplaying and enjoy the epic quests. I love this game and have enjoyed playing for the last few months that I have been online. I am a VIP player who has been going to the “premium areas” and I feel that I have missed out on the fellowship quests. I also love the Skirmishes, so hopefully you can consider a well rounder kinship member.

    MMO games you’ve played:

    LOTR, WOW

Why kinships should be interested in you:

I am calm, quiet, and willing to help out type of player. No hotshot here. Looking for some fun in this game before the solo quests become grinding. I offer a mature view on situations.

What kind of kinship you are looking for:

I am looking for a fun loving kinship whose members enjoy different aspects of the game, not just one aspect i.e. raiding only.

Thanks for your time in reading this; hopefully I will be in a kinship soon.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Character name and race: Tavolos, Elven L42 Champion

    Age: 34

    Preferred server: Nimrodel

    Location: D.C. / EST

Playstyle: I am a casual solo player, but enjoy fellowships for completion of group quests. Also interested in raiding or possibly doing some PVP at higher levels.

MMO games I’ve played: None, this is my first MMO.

Why kinships should be interested: I recently got turned on to LOTRO and became a VIP member, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. I'm more interested in enjoying the story/world, and experiencing the game than anything else. I have a tendency to be on at random times throughout the week, at any hour of the day or night. I'm a little old school (playing RP games of the pen-n-paper variety), so I know how to cooperate/work in a group. I am willing to help others with any stage of the game, and looking forward to completing as much of it as I can. I'm also starting to enjoy the in-game crafting, and I'm willing to share any resources with others.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: I have been an avid Tolkien fan and reader for most of my life. My main goal is to experience the world of Middle Earth with similar fans. I'm most interested in the RP aspect of the game, but I have to admit that I'm still getting used to doing it in an online setting.

Thank you for your time, and hopefully I'll see you in game.

Character name and race: Rallith - Guardian Level 51, Race of Man

    Age: 24

Preferred server(s): Landroval, Brandywine (if the Kin is a good fit I will go anywhere)

Location: Florida, EST Afternoon - Late Night/Morning

Playstyle: Solo, Group, PVE, PVP, Raids, Casual

MMO games you’ve played: EQ 1 and 2, SWG, Age of Conan, Fallen Earth, City of Villians, Guild Wars, Rift, Warhammer, WoW, Aion and pretty much any major titles I forgot to list. Hardcore mmo'er since EQ.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I have been playing mmos for a very long time and I have a lot of experience. I have played a few classes on LotRO but my highest is my 51 Guardian. I am always willing to help anyone who needs assistance, and not to brag but I'm pretty darn good =p.

What kind of kinship you are looking for?: Looking for a kinship that loves to group (complete story quests, Dungeons, Raids, and PVP). I am really into the social aspect of the game and love to use any type of voice chat (this is a must for me). Grouping/helping lower level characters is a must for me, I am an obsessive dungeon crawler.

If you have any questions/think your kinship would be a good fit please PM me on the forums. Thanks.

    Hello,
I have multiple char. but my main char are:
    60 man guardian- whatcamacallit
    32 elf rk- stinji

    age 38

    server: firefoot
    location: southern california
Playstyle: pretty much anything. im not really into rp.
mmo xp: final fantasy, guild wars, swg

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am a dedicated player. I play several times a week. I enjoy working with others and think the game is more fun when you are playing with others. I have no problems working in a group. As a RK it doesnt matter to me if im healing or dps. I kind of enjoy the healing aspects. I have no problems helping others with quests or tasks, even if there is no benefit to me. I have been helped in game by a lot of people and I feel I should pass on the good will. I am an experienced player but I can always learn more. I havent done much in Enttemoors but I would like to. I do have vent and can do voice chat if needed.

What kind of Kinship am I looking for? An active one. I would like to join a group that has players on regularly and is open to all kinds of play. I would hope for a Kin that takes the game seriously but is also light hearted. Members that are willing to help others is always a plus. Id like to play with those of a similar level for questing and such. A kin that possibly schedules raids and such. Also having players in similar time zones would be nice.

Returning Player, After LONG Hiatus, looking for a kinship!

Name: Michael (no character name as of yet...I have a level 50 champion on Arkenstone server) I am open to playing ANY class other than a minstrel or loremaster. I've dabbled with Hunter, Champion, and Captain and liked them all pretty well.

    Age: 30

Preferred servers: High population would be nice. I'm used to playing a game where finding groups for instances/dungeons is easy and the lack of a dungeon finder kinda turns me off. I don't get to play much and when I do, I dont' like to spend 2-3 hours trying to find a group.

    Location: USA East Coast

Playstyle: In other MMO's I've played, I really like doing dungeons and raiding...not so much on solo questing.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW (from release), LOTRO, AoC, Warhammer Online, Aion, and Rift.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a very experienced MMO player who has experienced top tier raiding in every MMO I've played (except Rift and Aion, I hated them). That being said, I kinda wanna get away from the competitiveness that is WoW raiding. The entire "leetness" issue in so many games I've played is starting to burn me out. I'm looking for a fresh start in a new game with content I haven't seen in years.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: One thing a guild I used to be in for another game had a "old school adventure group" team. Six people rolled new character of different classes and agreed to be online at the same time to play those characters through dungeons and content. That would be something I could get into if any guilds are doing that now. Other than that, I'm just looking for a guild with no drama and mature players to teach me the ropes and to try my hand at raiding in LOTRO.

    Character Names
Frieja (65 Minstrel), Tambookie (65 Guardian), Nyxa (65 Burglar), handful of others at different levels

    Age: 32

    Preferred server(s): Brandywine

    Location: EST

    Playstyle
I enjoy running instances; 3-mans, 6-mans, raids, etc.

What kind of kinship you are looking for?
I used to be really into raiding, but took a long break from the game (about 6 months) after F2P launched due to lack of content. When I returned, my kin had all migrated to Rift. However, I still enjoy LOTRO and want to stay here. I used to play every day, but now usually only play on the weekends between 10AM-8PM EST. I haven't been able to find a lot of groups for things because groups are usually just starting to form up when I'm logging off.

It's very important to me that the people I play with pay attention and try to improve their characters and learn from their mistakes. I'm looking for people who are comfortable playing their classes and able to adapt to changing situations.

My husband also plays, and he has multiple level-capped characters as well. Besides my playtimes, he also plays late-night EST.

Post Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Your name, or character name and race:

My name is Walter and I have two characters:
 Tevian (Main: Level 16 Man Warden, Woodsman)
 Tovio (Crafting Alt: Level 17 Hobbit Hunter, Yeoman)

    Age:

    I am 34. I will be 35 in August.

    Preferred server:

I play on the Windfola server. I also have characters on the Landroval and Riddermark servers, but I haven't been playing on those servers recently.

    Location:

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. That is UTC/GMT -7 hours and we have no daylight savings time adjustments.

    Play style:

I love to explore and take in all the scenery that LOTRO has to offer. I prefer to solo or group for PvE. I am not much into PVP but I am considering trying out Monster Play just for fun. I am new to RP. I have dabbled a little bit with it and would like to try more, especially the weekly "The Finer Things in Life" RP event.

    MMO games you’ve played:

I started out in Ultima Online many years ago. I have regularly played Earth and Beyond (RIP), Jumpgate, Star Wars Galaxies, Planetside, Everquest II, Eve Online, and World of Warcraft; I have tried a few others on a trial basis but none of them have really captured my attention like LOTRO has. I am now a VIP subscriber to LOTRO.

Why kinships should be interested in you:

I am a mature person and GLBT-friendly. I play daily, mostly between 10:30PM and 6:00AM, sometimes earlier or later; I am on at other times throughout the day as my work/school schedule permits. I enjoy helping others with quests or crafting needs; I don't mind sharing resources as I am able to do so. If you need a crafted item and supply the materials, I don't expect any payment other than professional courtesy should I require an item that can be crafted by yourself or an alt. I believe in paying it forward with new players since we were all newbies at one time or another (I still am when it comes to LOTRO). I am not opposed to answering questions if I am able to do so, nor will I respond to one in a sarcastic manner, regardless of its complexity or lack thereof.

What kind of kinship you are looking for:

I expect the same maturity and characteristics of all kinship members as I outlined in the question above. I would like to participate in RP and world RP events, though I do not think I am ready for a full-on RP kinship. Since my play hours are outside of the typical 9-to-5 working player, an English-speaking European or Australian kinship may be a better fit for my participation in organized kinship events; LOTRO, however, remains a "game" for me and not a full-time job! Please keep that in mind should you ask me to take on kinship responsibilities (other than the invitation of new members or the occasional planning of an event) once we get to know one another better.

That's about it! Should you be interested in inviting me to your kinship, please PM me with the particulars of your organization or provide me a link to your kinship website so I, too, can see if your kinship is a good fit for me. Thanks for your attention and see you in Middle Earth!

    Walter

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Hello, my name is Lennon my main character is Silonway, who is a elf champion.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) I'm 23 at the moment.
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Gladden is my preferred server, but I may create a new character on a different server if I really like a kin.
Location. East United States Time Zone
Playstyle. I play a little bit of everything. I do solo 90% of the time usually, but there have been times where I wish I had some people around to do fellowship quests. I play this casually, I'm not a hardcore mmo type person. So I don't know too much about raids and the sort. Though I've done a couple, and thought I was ok.
MMO games you’ve played: Matrix Online, Phantasy Star Online (Like I said, I'm not a big mmo player, and I level moderately slow. Though this game is definitely the one I've played the most so far, and I've really enjoyed it.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a mature kinship but at the same time laid back and casual. Yet still have meetings once in awhile in advance, so I'll have time to make sure I can make it. I don't really have too many other nit picky reasons but that. So yeah!

Just send me a pm or a message in game on my main character about your kin and what you do, and I'll surely check it out! Don't worry, I'll probably end up joining the first one that sends me a pm since I'm not very picky, unless it's like completely not what I'm looking for (see above.) See ya!

Hey all, longtime WoW endgame player looking to get into LOTRO. My non-MMO commitment have gotten too big that the cost of WoW just isn't worth it, especially when an excellent free alternative is right there.

So, I don't have a lot of time to play, and the time I have is 100% on weekday afternoons. I will be a slow leveler, but eventually I'd like to get into endgame content (do you call it raiding in lotro?)

So, any active daytime guilds looking to add a casual player with endgame aspirations?

    About me:

    Age: 30

    Server: Any

Location: Eastern US, but I'm only active like 11am-6pm EST so a European server/kinship might work better for me

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Jedius (eventually for a Warden) or some version of...like Jeddicus (a Lore-master) for example.

    Age: 36

Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I would prefer an average to slightly high population server with more freeps than creeps if possible, or at least even.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Eastern, MI/USA

Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I like more solo than group for quests. I prefer PvE a lot more than PvP. I would say I'm more casual leveling and then more hardcore end-game...but low hardcore/high casual in general. No RP or very limited RP please...I'm here to raid/gear up mostly.

MMO games you’ve played: WoW mostly. I've tried some DDO and some RoM.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm intelligent, hard working, fair, loyal, tough, good looking, funny, creative, and most importantly extremely modest. I also was my guild's raid leader before I left WoW.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Looking for a guild with high competence, friendliness, helpfulness, loyalty, maturity, laid back, good sense of humor, organization, end-game capability, and leadership (rules, fair loot distribution, and I'm OK with some amount of favoritism for the hardcore people that are always there when you need them and make consistency possible). I'd like little to no drama, selfishness, uptightness, bossiness (some bossiness is needed sometimes for some people and I'm OK with that...but, there is usually a better way to "ask" to get something done how you want it), etc.

If you are not doing current end game content, then I'm not interested. If you are not willing to help me get to current end game content, then I'm not interested.

A little more of what I'm looking for below...

I'm new to LotRO and looking for suggestions for a good server and guild to join.

I am coming from WoW after a lengthy time off. I'd prefer/request most of the following...

    -average-slightly high population server

-more freeps than creeps...or at least fairly even (I played alliance on a server that was 80%horde...that wasn't very fun for me)

-I'm not particularly interested in roleplay

-I like to raid, so I would like a guild that knows what it's doing/can beat end-game content (my guild on WoW had an issue with rarely having enough people showing up, let alone geared enough people show up for raids...I missed out on a lot of progression)

-I'd like a guild that has capable/knowledgeable players that are willing to teach newer players how best to min/max a particular class for a particular purpose (this kind of ties in to the previous point...I want to be the best eventually of course, but it would be awesome to have a guild full of people who are all striving towards that goal and are willing to help others who want the help)

-I'd like either a large guild or an extremely dedicated guild so we always have enough people to raid with (good organization/scheduling, fair loot distribution, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable)

-this isn't a super important want, but...it would be nice to have people in guild who have mastered their professions (jeweler, blacksmith, tailor, etc.) who can help gear you up for cheap

-nice enough people to help you level when they aren't doing anything important (I don't necessarily mean giving runs...although that's a plus...I mean like killing a final boss from a big questline or something that would be a big help to you...I guess I just mean helpful and friendly in general, not a go way out of your way to help...just somewhat out of your way if it isn't a huge inconvenience)

I'm sure I'm missing some things, but there's a start. So...which server, and which guild?

Thumbs up Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

I'm a new player, just looking for a community to get involved with as i learn this game
I am 20, however i'm in the military...so I may be crazier, or more mature, depending on how you look at it
I have a lvl 13 elf guardian on Firefoot.....but yeah...like I said, i'm new, I've not invested anything much anywhere yet
I'm in Cali, and have busy weeks, i can be on briefly every evening, but major blocks of time aren't available until weekends
I do a bit of everything in every game I play.....otherwise I get bored lol....I pick up crafting pretty early in most games...so i'll be able to contribute early on
I used to play WoW, Runescape (does that count?) and Shaiya, I occaisionally dip into Rift, but not much
I'm just looking for some people to answer my questions that I can help out as well....any young kinship with younger players....I'll be crafting stuff as soon as I can for ya'll...nd once I hit 20, i'm def down for dungeons =]

Lvl 29 Woman Captain looking for casual kin

Your name, or character name and race (if known): Calera, woman captain

    Age: 21

Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I've been playing on Nimrodel for awhile... not planning on leaving that server anytime soon.

Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): Central time-zone; Illinois

Playstyle: I'm really not picky about how I play. I usually do a lot of solo quests, but recently, I've wanted to get more involved with fellowships and group quests. I'm not a heavy gamer by any means. I just enjoy playing and would like to get to know some other players who enjoy casual gaming as well. I'm also starting to get into crafting as well in the game.. it's something I've always neglected with other characters.
MMO games you’ve played: I've watched friends play WoW but never got into is. LOTRO is the only one I play.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm extremely helpful when it comes to aiding others in the game. Whenever someone needs a hand or asks (mostly just strangers around me) I give them a hand. I play straight for fun and am genuinely interested in other people playing the game and ensuring they are getting the most of out their experience as well.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm very much interested in a kinship that is more-so geared to more casual gamers... a bit more laid back but can be fast paced as well. People are interested in aiding in quests and helping one another. No RP at all please.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

    Hey all,

Name: Kaylan, Elf Loremaster, server snowbourn, currently level 12

    Age: 32

    Location: Netherlands, Europe

    Type of account: F2P

Playstyle: atm I am a casual player and solo almost everything. It is a bit boring, cuz I like some company or a nice chat while I am playing. I don’t race through levels. I want enjoy the game, lore and surroundings because I am new to the game. In the old days of wow I used to be a hardcore raider, so I am found of instances. I would like to try some instances as well, but not as a hardcore raider. I'm not into PVP.

MMO games you’ve played: I started to play Wow right after beta and quitted 1,5 years ago. I tried LOTRO before and thought I was a nice game as well, but to start another MMO and pay for two games seemed a bit much. After all those years I got bored with Wow but not bored with MMOs. I started to play Aion, because friends of mine played it. Very beautiful game, nice gameplay! Because I didn’t have time to play every day it felt it was a bit of a waste to play a game and pay for it each month. When LOTRO became F2P I was thrilled, because now I can play a nice game without paying too much if I have little time. In a few months I got more time to play, until then I can see if this game fits me and go VIP later on.

What do you offer kinships?: I always strive to learn my role well and willing to learn everything to learn in the game. I am looking for mature players who aren't super competitive or greedy, and are willing to teach me how to play my role effectively and efficiently, while helping provide the appropriate tools (e.g. weapons & armor). I don’t mind to use voice chat. I'll represent my kin with integrity. I am a mature player and I don’t do drama. I like to have a laugh or a chat. I am a friendly, loyal and helpful player.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: One with few expectations and with patience beyond working together as a family and helping each other out, representing the Kin with honor and staying out of drama. I am not looking for much hand-holding; but instead just simple guidance and support esp. where armor and weapons and fellowship quests are concerned. I'm happy to provide whatever treated wood, leather, weapon components or finished weapons, etc.

If you have more questions, please let me know ingame.
    Byes,
    Kaylan

    Hi all. European player.
    Age 32
    Server Snowbourn
Location between Greece & Germany for personal reasons
I prefer to play in group with other players same lvl as mine or at least close to mine. When people are in group the game is faster smoother and much more fun to do.
I have played for a while DAOC
I believe I have quiet good expirience on this game since I play a couple of years. But this is just my opinion. Time will tell.
I look for a mature kinship that they are organized and always go ahead in missions having a plan on their bags.

Kinships that are interesting can contact in-world MORCUBORN.
