I just spent time yesterday updating my Champion's outfits. She always wears burgundy. Here's the outfit she's been wearing for ages:
This is just random light armor pieces I picked up from the vendor in Rivendell plus the Cloak of the Dreamflower.
And these two outfits are from light and medium crafted armor plus a store bought cloak on the second one.

And here are my Champ's two heavy armor looks:

Same here, I'm up to 90 wardrobe slots and am constantly buying dye. I can't stop buying cosmetics, I love them. I haven't seen the new skirmish items and now I must look.
The dress is the Exquisite Elven Dress from the LOTRO store, it's very pretty. I think you can get it from one of the festivals too, not sure. The cloak is the wardens of Annuminas rep cloak, and the shoulders are just lorien-styled heavy armor shoulders.OMG! That is so cute. What is that? I don't think I have seen it before.

The dress comes from the rep vendor in tangulad, you will need kindred with malledhrim.
The shoulders are from the purple moria set for champion (no idea of it's name in english)
The cloak is from some moria instance (the one with gurvand). I also have seen it the store I think and at the Algraig rep vendor too.
And add to that a circlet of men.

I made this outfit to match the fixed Council of the North horsie, which is my new favorite mount. Burgandy isn't quite right, but it looked better than Rivendell Green.

Narlinde ~ Minstrel, Singer of the Lament of Windfola
Just found this thread and boy there are some great outfits out there. Personally creating outfits has become a major part of the game for me and I spend a lot of time and gold finding the perfect pieces. Here are some pictures of my current favorite outfit.
Standing watch upon Amon Sul.
Standing in the plain below Minas Erol.
Guardians are bowmasters too!
Daedraug fending off some evil attacker.
This set is my pride and joy for two reasons. First it looks really, really good, everything just blends together and feels like a real set of armor. Secondly each piece while it looks fairly generic is actually a rare drop with a name and story on the tool tips.
Head: Helm of Orod-na-thon "Armour of ancient Elf-make, forged in the dark forests beneath the distant Mountain of Pine."
Shoulders: Shoulders of the North-drake "Forged long ago by master-craftsmen of Arnor, finely crafted armour of the great strength and deadly beauty of the ancient dragons of legend."
Back: Cloak of Ancient Ruins (the only piece that doesn't have a tool-tip history)
Chest: Breastplate of the Seven Fathers "Glorious armour of dwarf-make, finely-crafted in the name of the legendary dwarf-lords of ages long past."
Gloves: Gauntlets of the Watchtower "Hold vigil and and keep a watchful eye on the horizon."
Legs: Black Leggings of Dorthonion "Armour of Men, crafted for battles long forgotten."
Feet: Gaerdail "These Nûmenórean boots survived a long voyage from Westernesse, only to be lost for many centuries."
I absolutely love this thread, so many terrific outfits! Kudos to all of you, I really enjoy seeing what other folks come up with, and it definitely gives me ideas for my own characters. I can spend the entire evening working on an outfit, never mind playing!
My main is my lvl 65 LM, Gaelwing, so she's the one I tend to spend the most time outfitting, though I've got at least 2 outfits on every toon.
Here's Gael in her "hunting/down-to-business" outfit...
I love the Cloak of the Autumn Wood from the LOTRO Store, and have a couple outfits that I use it with... this is with the Lorien Fancy Robe.
More to come...
?
I really like the Tawarwaith Robe from Mirkwood, which looks great with the Cloak of the Autumn Wood...
.... But I think the this robe goes really well with the Wood-Wanderer's Cloak, too!

And last but not least, here's my outfit with the anniversary Silken Dress of Golden Splendor.. I got the Tundra Eagle just to go with it and the anniversary steed!

?
I have a lvl 30 warden that I don't play often, but I really like the hauberks and short robes on him (yes, I'm female and it's a male toon, but darnit, hauberks look best on men, imho, so I had to make a few male toons!)
Here he is with the Shirriff's Hauberk...
And here he is wearing the Dwarf Robe of Fate (lvl 16)

My Champions current outfit:
Can't see it because the mug is in the way, but she's also sporting an eyepatch.

There are two Council of the Rep North. The one you're referring to Greythorne is the original one. The one Cloudie is seen riding is new. I believe it was introduced with either update 1 or F2P, or during F2P launch. For a long time it had the incorrect skin (looking like the Angmar meta deed mount). With the last update it got it's correct skin (as shown above). It is purchased from the same barterer in Angmar.

I finally found a great look for my RK that doesn't use a robe or dress.
