Five New Instances in Update 5

We are currently preparing five new instances for release post Isengard.

Rise of Isengard will be released on September 27 along with a 24 Player raid. There will be 3 Three player, 1 Six player and 1 Twelve player instance released in Update 5, the first update after the release of Rise of Isengard. These instances will be free to any player who has pre-purchased the Rise of Isengard expansion or who purchases after launch via the Turbine Web Store.

The only thing that won't cause outcry is if each player has a staff of game developers sitting in their living room and making whatever changes they request...for only $10 a month!

The way you say "who purchases after launch via the Turbine Web Store." has the worrying connotation that the expansion won't be purchasable via Turbine Points either before or immediately after its release. Are we going to get more info on how we can buy it for those who didn't pre-order?

Awesome info.

And despite the outcry the separation of RoI from the instance cluster caused, at the end of the day, I applaud Turbine for getting the Xpac into the hands of players asap, letting them level, work on traits, crafting, and experiencing the class changes, instead of holding the entire Xpac hostage til the instance cluster was ready.

I'd much rather level in Sept, get the rest later, than wait til near the end of the year to even begin leveling.

Excellent choice Turbine. This was the decision I stated and hoped you would make. Double-charging would have been a long-term financial disaster, imo.

Now please also ensure class balancing is handled properly sooner rather than later, and I might get some personal excitement for the game going again.

Can you shed any light on what will be given away as part of the expansion?

Is turbine continuing to give away level cap access? T7 Crafting? (like they did with update 2)
Access to the rest of Volume 3?

Since I don't want to assume anything - two questions:

- Will the Instances be available to VIPs who have purchased RoI (via the store)?
- Will the Instances be available to VIPs who have not purchased RoI?
