Me myself, I don't care that much, it's just that I have nothing better than maniacally refreshing the launcher to do at the moment :P In fact I will probably not touch the new content for couple of days to make sure there is nothing terribly wrong and will play my lowbie char instead.

God knows I wasnt hot on half-baked expansion and I am probably looking for reasons to leave this increasingly boring Lord of The Grind Online.... but how can official person state that patch server is up and working when so many people cant even connect yet? And its always the same old problems.
This thread says 'stuck on examine programs' but I'm stuck on connect. Do I just keep letting it "retry"? Do I keep restarting it?

my patching started 40 minutes after i booted my pc, guess im lucky then![]()
It seems like a lot of the successful patches were done with the launcher left being open. I'm wondering if the developer's suggestion that we close and restart the launcher is the "server resources adjustment" that they spoke of...

timing for patching is plain stupid - gathered USA, Europe, World in one DL demand. Ofc you are not able serve all together! You were preparing for many months for this day and still couldn't manage it be prepared...

If you have more than one computer with onecomputer that has completed the download, you don't have to wait to update your other computers.
windows: go to mycomputer, click on the drive that has your program files on it, click on program files folder, click on the turbine folder(or what ever folder it is in), copy the The Lord of the Rings Online folder and paste it on to an external hard drive, connect the flash/jump drive or external hard drive to your other computers and you can copy it in to the folder where your lotro file is store and delete the non updated version. You will need to drag the mce short cut from the The Lord of the Rings Online folder to your desktop. The mce shortcut has a ring with an arrow on it next to it.
You might be able to email it to your self if you don't have an external hard drive, but flash/jump drives don't have enough space.

One thing I will say in favour of the "resource balancing" aka "I can't connect: once you do get in, the download speed is infinitely faster than anything CM ever managed in 4 years worth of updates

well my slower computer finally connected to the patch 20 minutes ago but I am not seeing this "fast patch" I just hit 5%.
I was chugging along real well until it hit 60% - then some message window popped up that I couldn't even see (beyond knowing it was attached to the lotro client) and the progress was at a standstill (and had even dropped to 0% though the #/# value was still the same). Got the client closed and haven't had any luck since.

everybody should stop trying to get through right now so it can make an easier load on the team. by all of you trying and trying consistently every 1-2 min and posting about it you're doing nothing but getting yourselves worked up. just chill , watch a movie, slap ya selves, do something other than what you're doing right now. They'll let you know when everything is good. They might even toss up a ready check for ya

eh I am not having that issue with the examine part...myself and my wife been trying to at least trying to log in but to no avail....unable to connect
