woot 5% updating game. I actually made it to the patch! I had to leave it for an hour on trying to connect, and it finally went through on it's own.

I did the same, 6hours connecting, little over an hour examining, restart, and another hour connecting so far.

After 3 hours im now stuck on examine game data. Getting closer.

After 5 hours I'm still trying to connect.

started slow with a 100 kb/s now going like a rocket with 10,000 KB/S wow 68% complete.

After waiting for about 8+hours..Finally the patching started. But oh so brilliantly it has stopped at the Examine Game Data Part. And reading through "some" of the posts..I see other people are stuck here too. I really don't want to close and start again (god knows where i'll start again) but this is just so damn frustrating

Just restart the client and give it 15 minutes it will work.

Oh really? I restarted my whole computer and it's been sitting at the same issue it did 5 hours ago(it's been restarted for about 20 minutes now).

my launcher just had a seizure and died..... and it had JUST started patching >.<

To encourage anyone that is stuck in the Examine Game Data - Waiting, I canceled and retried and after waiting another 15 minutes or so to enter the connect queue, I am past the Examine Game Data part and am actually patching.

I'd suggest anyone stuck in this part to restart as it worked well for me. Good luck

I know that Due to high demand players may experience long wait times or connectivity issues while patching or logging into the game but 6 hours come on, my friend hadnt logged in all day then tryed a minute ago and his is going I guess Im out of luck getting it started today
