Good 1v1 Thread

I changed a bit of things the last few days and dumped some overall dps for some more mitigations, seemed to work out nicely so far.

^ trust me dumping dps and going for mits was working. Basically you were mitigating ~50% of my dps :P
Well that and the fact I'm not all that great at 1v1s, but definitely had fun trying!

Good fight Zergnaut - crazy DPS now, i really don't stand much of a chance, especially when you pot my first slow.

Fswa - good fights - nice double KB on that last fight, don't think i'd have much chance if you would have used MT

Freepinganker - good fights - I don't think I can beat a warg who stealths to start the fight. I just melt in the first pounce, and its up hill from thereafter.

Krashlex - I don't think my DPS could have hit you any harder - you didn't need MT, especially after a 2800 crit VT, followed by a 3863 Revenge? WOW I went from nearly full morale to dead with just those 2 attacks.


I will say this: creeps new buffs to DPS make 1v1s just about impossible for me atm unless they hold back. Great fights though, look forward to more.

Seyz...just damn - Never thought a hunter could get a WL THAT low before I crossed the 20m starting distance. Close fight, still surprised I won.

Kirptic...Still two good fights (regardless of us both being forced to auto attack near the end :P ) but dude...What the hell is your crit resist at??? That second fight I literally only crit on you three times, and two of those were force crits (would have been 4 but you resisted the other two >.<) Almost made me want to drop into commanders stance O.o

Good fight. The biggest difference I see with WL is the ability to do the insta-non-induction heal. If I can't stop them from healing, I really don't have a chance. I'll have to figure out other ways to fight WLs from now on I think.

Lampiao - good fight, got a couple lucky crits early or you'd have beat me I think

fun fights with calagos/fathlorn/araphorn(sp*) around oc and grams. Appreciate the no bubble calagos, and our fights a couple nights before. I hope u three can meet up with twong/elyo/swash sometime. I'd be interested to see those contests.

Thanks for the fights Grizlark, lollipoops and Twong. all fun fights (except for the last fight lollipoops, just because im not in war-speech doesn't mean i cant kick your butt, you didnt have to pause so much) and omg twong when that blade-toss missed you were so screwed i'm still surprised i won that fight, excellent fights with you as always. and btw griz save your stun (i honestly have no idea what skill it is) for when the minstrel is at half health, its your only chance to kill a high morale minstrel in a 1v1.

P.S. thanks for the surprise 1v1 cowlick definitely the most challenging BA out there, for obvious reasons.

Galuf, you continue to show why you are the number 1 1v1 hunter on the server. Damn your crits. =p

Bit disappointed with how the warg vs hunter fights are now. Either you blow me up in like 10 seconds or i blow you up in about the same (mostly me being exploded), depending on crits. Much preferred the fights in the last book that used to go for well over 1 minute and we never knew who was going to win.

Not sure how to counter that 5 second burst damage from you yet, you seem to hit harder than most. I could always stealth but that would be lame.

Yeah, nice fights. You're one of only two minstrels to beat me post-RoI.

Traited headshot, the BA knockdown skill, has a medium length induction and there is only a 25% chance of it knocking down your opponent (seems much lower in my experience).

Wanna say thanks to all the good 1 on 1's ive had the last few days. Lots of names to remember but most notable was with Vigr. Epic fight, lasted nearly 10minutes.

Also on a side note, thanks to those creeps who gave myself, Aruthul and Galuf some very fun fights just before the servers went down last night, think you all know who you are. We will be looking for more small group action like that in the future, be ready!

Definantly agreed that hunter v warg (generally) has been nerfed in terms of 'fun'.
I think the best way to make the fights more interesting (enabling more strategy/movement/length!) is to stealth at the start.

Hmm. Suppose we could go with something like i start in stealth in melee range, wait for you to get your focus buff up then open with a maul. That way you still get to use your Focus damage thing and it will still be more movement/strategy based. Suppose just starting nose-to-nose would do that too, without requiring stealth.

We've always come up with weird and wacky ways to make our 1v1s interesting in the past when one of us was too powerful, i'm sure we'll manage again. Still reckon seeing a hunter with NH and a warg in SH standing nose-to-nose with no cc or movement was one of the most fun and funniest 1v1s i've had. It was pretty damn close too.

Just wanted to hop on and say thanks to the freeps who have been willing to 1v1 lately. I've been on and off the last couple weeks trying to knock off some rust, and I appreciate all the fights. Yeh, the fights were so close just using sprint that I didnt want to use the bubbles. I laughed pretty loudly when you stunned me then ran into the one shots after I just lost that second fight

Yeh, this was a fun little impromptu fight club even if I managed to get skill lock twice and be disconnected in the space of 10 minutes. TR west is the worst for skill lock, its almost guaranteed if I spend any amount of time 1v1ing there.

ps. Rambo, that big heal I got near the end of our 1v1 is an automatic thing - I wouldnt have used it if I had a choice, the fight was so close!
