Haven't heard this one in a while. Seriously, is man heal even worried about anymore? In an age where a man heal is 25-35% of someone's morale and most classes now have all kinds of over the top heals and bubbles?

He lived with 1k health. So yes.
I dunno, it's a longer cooldown than both of the bubbles he used so it was the only part of the fight that made me go "psh, really dude? I'm a spider."

But the fight really was a lot of fun. I love the close ones.

So? Spiders do well now as they've always done 1v1, they just fare less well in group/raid fights as the game progresses. Isn't the new burrow heal basically a full heal? (could be wrong, haven't tested)

I have a new burrow heal? I dunno. I've only been back for 2 days. And I'm not buying any skills.

This post is full of so much flat out wrong.

If anything, spiders are more valuable in raids than we have been at any point since before the web nerf. melee hatchling is win, reset on web the earth is amazing, and improved daze is extremely strong. Yeah, in raids you can get blown up fast... but this has been true for a long time. Proper positioning and teamwork = I don't die any more in these kinds of fights than I have since late mirkwood.

No spiders are absolutely not set for 1v1 right now unless the player they are fighting is MANY orders of magnitude worse at movement and/or bars themselves from cooldown use. We do probably 80% of the dps we did at levle 65 due to the increase to common and acid mitigations (and actually received a slight damage nerf in U5... TK went from doing over 600 top end to 550. Yeah, THAT was called for). Catch prey is pretty nerfed in terms of effectiveness (didn't scale well with the avoidance cap increase and finesse), and of course there's that mitigation bug. We can now stack clinging and entangling web, which is nice, but hardly makes up for the severe handicaps of this book.

The burrow is a full heal if you stay in it long enough (it's ~600 morale every 2 seconds for the duration). In a 1v1, this isn't a "heal" as much as it is a fight reset. Your opponent drops combat while you're burrowed and will regen faster than the burrow heals you (they might have to move out of catch prey range to drop combat), they can even eat some food and put on a fireworks show while you wait to regen. Then you pop out, the fight is basically reset, only your hatchling is now dead... advantage freep.

You are seriously the only person I have seen try to assert that spiders are properly functioning this update.

Watch some lower ranked spiders go about their business (most notable would be Spiderpiggy) and pick up some tips.

I find this hilarious because:

1. In late SoM era, you personally didn't consider spiders OP
2. Compared to this era, when you yourself thought the class was balanced, there has been a material decrease in DPS (as in I quite literally do ~15% LESS dps at 75 than I was capable of at 65 against freeps)/defenses as well as very badly broken mechanics foisted onto the class... meaning that relative to SoM, we are far worse off.
3. The weakening of something you previously admitted was balanced is somehow... still balanced.

a hunter could easily pot poison > purge poison.
With the change, a hunter was/is forced to deal with the spider pet and it's associated heal.

Not really. You can be somewhat underpowered and still be viable, as you can be total godmode and be viable.

You were the one who called out the class saying they are as good as they always were. I didn't see any QQ....rather, facts on why you are pretty much flat out wrong.

Reread a couple times, calling attention to a difference in past/present tense is......basically nitpicking, but why?
