Increased lootbox droprate.. right now?

By weekend, do you mean right now untill sunday? Because some countries don't count friday as weekend. Just wondering wether I should go crazy farm right now or not.

I do wonder, though, that although the number of boxes and keys might increase the quality of the rewards might have been adjusted temporarily or permanently?

eg (and just to use round figures) if the drop rate for a horse from a box was 5% prior to this weekend would it be dropped to perhaps 2% over the weekend? Or if the drop rate for WSOTEK was 2% prior to weekend would it now be 1%?

I think over all it's great we get more gifts, and let's face it something for nothing if you don't buy the keys from the store but given the uproar and controversy of the current drop rate (or supposedly) of best items I do wonder. I suspect they might up the rate of the horses and temp drop the rate of WSOTEK.

Im going to guess the box drop rate will much higher than the key rate to increase store sales. Only time will tell though.

Anything that brings me closer to a WSOC or anything that helps get 2nd or 1st age weapon is OK in my book, although I reckon my chances are nil. I'll just have to keep farming sigils and dribble them on to the AH to keep the price high

Reading the notes for the live testing of update 6 it seems they will be barter items in the main game soon anyway.

The Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor will be a barter item on the skirmish vendors. The Symbol of the Elder King will not. So you can get the parts for a second age, but not a first age, from the skirmish vendors.

I'm also wondering when this is supposed to start. Today (being Friday?) or will it be Saturday and Sunday US time only? And until what times? It would be nice to know, not that it will affect what I'll be doing. I've got deeds to grind anyways for the upcoming increase in virtures to 14.

I find minimods much ruder than bump posts. I agree that bumping is against the forum ToS, but there was really no reason for you to respond in this manner.

The announcement does say this weekend, but 'weekend' means different things to different people. It does matter. Some people will be making slight alterations to their plans based on this event.
