Interesting fact: You don't have to be a captain (or even have one) to wear these as an outfit piece. You can slot outfit items for different classes by putting those items into your wardrobe first, even if you don't have any toons capable of wearing them at all. This also works for BoE items: put them into your wardrobe without equipping them first, then you can give them away to a friend or sell them.

Much different from having to equip an item to have permission to slot it directly to a specific character's outfit...

    cheers,

Thanks for the response and info, Cay

Now I just wish I had the comms to get the leggings for cosmetic use ... but unfortunately I don't PvMP much, so I don't even own the Champs PvMP armour for my main. And if I go to Etten I'm quickly reminded that audacity comes with the PvMP armour, usually by a group of creeps ...

Well... ok, another interesting fact... it's actually a lot easier to accumulate comms on the creep-side because of how they are awarded for completing deeds. That is. complete 10 quests for Lugs, get 500 comms, the next 15 quests, 1000 comms, etc. Do this for all 5 keeps. You can rack up comms REALLY quickly that way. And they are account-wide, so you can earn them creep-side and use them freep-side.

Now... that was for the present system, but I understand they are changing it for RoR where comms won't be given out for PvE quests. That may be so, but what about for creep-side deeds? Don't know the answer to that one yet, but if they haven't changed that part, you can again rack up the comms and have a nice set of gear waiting for your freep when you hit 85. The moors will be heavily populated by creeps for a while, so I imagine PvE-questing to complete deeds could go pretty fast...

I really love the last days' outfits in this thread, they are perfect! from my side, I was recently in a mood for darker outfit, so here comes the Ghost rider:

    O.O

I didn't know that creeps-earned comms are account-wide ... though I have a reaver and a weaver, I haven't really played them. Guess it's about time I dust them off and take them for a walk outside Lugs

I really want the PvP champ armour to get my champ the audacity he needs to be competive against higher-ranked creeps. Last time I went to Etten I was beaten up by two creeps, me dealing damage like I just came out of the intro

+rep for you, thanks for the tip !

ceremonial versions of purple Moria sets are now on sale in the store. I prepared a short article about which of these items might be worth buying and which not (as some sets share appearance with crafted items). I also listed some outfits posted on my blog which feature these items. check it out here.

    some items available:

The guide is much appreciated, considering I haven't gotten anywhere near those, being soloer/duoer at best...

    Thank you!

I've tried to make a set with Huranc shoulders and Tarchar helmet to create a heavy plated armor set in steel and gold for my Captain. I'm thinking something a bit like this screenshot, but less over the top :

Sadly it's not easy to find nice looking plate armor so far, so my choice went on the Ost Dunhoth Ward of the West chestplate and leggings:

I'm currently using Blade of the West boots and Sellsword gauntlets, but that's only because I've not been able to find more fitting pieces. I do still think the set looks rather nice so far, but I'd love some suggestions for other plated pieces to that could work with this set

Stop being modest. This set looks nowhere near nice. It's far beyond nice, downright gorgeous even. Good choice of inspiration too

You don't even know how long I've wanted to post this. The joys of dyeable horse armor!

Also, reminder about the Rohan cosmetics thread, for the curious.

Some more examples of war steeds now that the NDA is lifted.

And my apologies for the time of day I took these. Had to leave quickly when I took em so no time to wait for a daytime shot.

Sadly it was a mostly rainy day when I shoot it. It's the marauder cosmetic set together with the book quest reward.

    Guardian horse cosmetic

And ofc again my pre RoR outfit on a horse

Wonderful pictures once again Evusik ^^

I love the new hat too, it looked lovely when I previewed it yesterday. It also fits perfectly with the new green/brown summer tunic, especially if you dye the tunic with forest green.

What pieces are you wearing there? I think I can recognise a tiny bit (malledhrim stuff?) but with the glare (pretty glare!), it's hard for me to tell.

That's simply a combination of the new Summerdays Hat and Short-sleeved Summer Tunic and Trousers, latter dyed with forest green so it fits the hat nicely.

I have a request to make, really, rather than a final cosmetic.

You see, I have this outfit...

Designed to go together with the Steed of the Jester...

But there's a problem there. Namely, the boots.

They're Boots of Vigour, which dye rather curiously. The thing is, I'd like to have some boots that are decorative and fancy, but also fit better the outfit. Specifically boots, because those lovely leggings (Dwarf-Make Campaigner's) have grey that I'd really love to keep hidden. Alas, I haven't found better boots yet in my coffers.

    Ideas what I might test?

I did the same for my Hobbit Lass, but I dyed them both Evendim Blue. It's a great Hobbity outfit.

Maybe Boots from any of these crafted sets?

    or heavy Annuminas set boots:

DN armour can be really nice as well. You can get the look of the boots from the purple gear sets (non raid armour) in Mirkwood. It's also worth checking out OD armour as well. The purple sets have the same look. All these require you to gather certain medallions though, which isn't as easy as crafting something.
