    Great guide btw!
If you do all the landscape quests in each area while leveling from 75-85, you will be at Friend standing (very close to Ally standing) with each faction when you start Hytbold.

If you intend to rebuild Hytbold completely (which involves a minimum of 44 days of daily quests), you will have no problem reaching Kindred with every faction by the time you finish. Accelerating your reputation gain would be a waste of your Turbine Points.

However, if you intend to do the least amount of work possible and only acquire a single set of armour for your main character, you might choose to accelerate your reputation while leveling up from 75-85. (Alternatively, you could accelerate your reputation while doing the Aiding the Eastemnet quests.) The specific reputation standings required for each armour set are noted in the class summary posts. Keep in mind that when you accelerate your reputation gains, it applies to ANY faction until it runs out. Personally, I feel this would be ridiculously expensive, but the option is available to you.

    One more noob Hybolt question:

You can open armour pieces for other classes...and you can barter for them, too? If you were to give them to an alt, would they have to have finished the associated quest/s and have the appropriate rep to equip them?

After you completely rebuild Hytbold on one character, you can barter for the armour pieces for ANY class. You can then put that armour in shared storage for your alts. Your alts don't have to do the quests, have any rep (or even visit Hytbold) at all.

The class summary posts are just meant for players who are only interested in getting a set of armour for their OWN class as efficiently as possible.

Note that right now, you can't actually put Hytbold armour in shared storage. Turbine plans to fix this with a patch within a month after launch. This really isn't a big deal, because it takes a minimum of 44 days to rebuild Hytbold completely anyway.

Yes, No. They simply have to get to L85.

The requirement is to barter for the piece, not to use the piece.
To acquire armor for another class you have to finish all 166 quests + the ending arc first. AND have shared storage.

(Turbine also has to fix the issue with the barter pieces being UNIQUE so you can put them in shared storage)
This gives them no less than 44 days to resolve the issue.

Now there's everything one could hope for what comes to information about Hytbold. Great work! May I ask where did you get the map of Hytbold? It looks like "official in-game map" with all the fonts etc...

Another question about crafting instances. You mentioned this:

I did all three crafting instances at least twice, but never saw any other bosses than the last boss that was related to the quest. Did those "other bosses" drop something maybe or what was their purpose in the instance?

It's possible the answer to my question is somewhere in this post and I missed it or just can't comprehend it properly, but is it possible to do only the quests for that one character you want to gear up first? Or must you do all quests? Is it recommended to do all the quests no matter your character's class? (I plan to, but thought I'd ask)

Sure it is, that's why Fredelas has listed those quests you need to do under each class section. So basically you ONLY need to do those quests in order to get your armour set. If you do ALL the quests in Hytbold, then you are able to barter for other classes as well, for example for your other characters.

Personally I am going to do ALL Hytbold anyway, for all my 9 characters But first I concentrate on those rebuilds that open up basic town services, crafting instances and my class sets. After that, I rebuild the rest of it.

Some questions, it isnt very clear for me (I read this in bits during work >_<)

    - Is Hytbold composed by 4 areas? (Harwick, Cliving, Eaworth, and Snowbourn). Or are these different towns?
    - For the daily quests, you get a quest in Hytbold that asks you to finish 5 other quests. Can yo do 5 quests in each of the above places, or do you have to choose where to do the quests?
    - What can you get with the crafting instances tokens rearding LI? Empowerment scrolls? 2nd age crafting thingy? Scroll of Devling/stats?

Thanks for the guide!! Ill make sure to read it again once I get at home

No, those four towns you mentioned are all towns in Rohan, and those places each have four daily quests that you have to do to get those Hytbold tokens. First you get the wrapper quest "Aiding the Eastemnet" at Hytbold, then you go to those four places (or only one or two towns, whatever you prefer) to see what they have to offer as dailies.

So, although there are 16 quests to choose from every day (4 quests at each of those four places), you can do only 5 of them each day. So you must choose. You could concentrate on those areas that you need kindred reputation for example.

Each crafting instance quests have different rewards that Fredalas already listed. In addition to that, you get Tokens of Effort that you can barter for things like IXP runes and crafting materials.

hytbolt has 4 districts inside it the wold suitcroft nortcroft and entwash vale each area has a corasponding town in the main area of rohan to gain rep for each faction during the daily quests you can do any combination of dailys quests but only 5 in total will give you tokens.

crafting instances are basicly the same as the ones in moria but higher tiered rewards , ( they do however require some decent rep with 3 factions to unlock i wouldnt worry about these for atleast 2 weeks)

hope this helps answer your questions

and thanks fredelas for bringing this post to the live forums it took you alot of time in beta to do it and im glad to finaly see the finished thread.

now to take it slow in rohan im not rushing to end game now its out of beta i did enough of that inside beta

I used screenshots of the radar map tiles and put the text on top.

I'm pretty sure I saw something boss-like (besides the signature leader) in the prospector crafting instance once, but I honestly couldn't remember when I wrote this guide. That's why I wrote "You may find..."

I'll have to do some actual testing again to be certain.

Regarding the stable-master, is rebuilding the stable enough to get all travel routes, or do you also need to get the different faction horses to get the respective routes?

The faction horses are just there for appearances.

However, you DO need Ally standing with an area's faction to travel to and from Hytbold from destinations in that area.

Ah, you saw that huge cave-claw I think. It's not something you can fight, I am not sure why it's there (just for the show I guess). There's nothing like that in other crafting instances.

This is not 100% accurate. The way it works is that when you build Stables in Hytbold, and open that new stable route, you have SLOW riding to and from all other stables in Rohan. When you reach Ally with one faction, that opens up swift-travel route to and from that faction cities, for example Ally with Norcrofts open up swift-travel routes between Hytbold and Cliving, and also between Hytbold and Faldham.

Thanks for the clarification on this! I knew Ally standing was needed for something at the stablemaster, but wasn't sure exactly what it was.

This guide is completely brilliant and I can't thank you enough for all of the hard work you put into it.

I have a question, though: you mentioned that it's not really worthwhile to use rep accelerators since, by the time you're finished rebuilding all of Hytbold (presuming, I guess, that you cycle through the dailies to get rep for all four factions), you'll be kindred with every faction anyway. However, for the initial gearing up of our first toons, would advancing your reputation with the different factions be of any use?

Follow-up question: I saw that there are general repeatables (non-Hytbold ones) in at least some of the Eastemnet zones. Assuming that these (and the warband quests...I honestly can't remember) grant rep, would it be worth it to do all of the relevant dailies/warbands to gain some rep quicker just to unlock armor for our first toons through?

In some cases it would be. If you want to get the Hytbold gear as soon as possible, you should check the requirements for the gating quests. The requirements vary strongly, some class sets only need Ally Standings while others 3 (or even 4) kindred.

Unfortunately, they don't give reputation. The only way to get reputation is to do the daily quests associated with the 'Aiding the Eastement'.

Hey Fred, thank you for doing this; it's absolutely brilliant.

Do you have any sort of ETA on when you'll have the housing items (or, at least some information on what tasks/deeds obtain what) up? I will admit that is one motivation of mine at the moment for rebuilding... and the motivation of a few others I know. Thanks!

I have screenshots of them from beta and a list of which deeds to complete. I'll add those in today! (I'm just trying to decide how to present it, since I can only put four images in one post on these forums.)

There were some bugs with the housing items in beta. Of note, the models for chandeliers went through the floor so all you could see was the chain, the double windows attached to hooks incorrectly, some furniture models were missing textures on their backs, and some items that traditionally have been large wall decorations were instead large furniture decorations.

In the meantime, several other players have posted galleries of those items. Chromite has one here for example:

After going to Hytbold and seeing exactly how confusing it would have been without this guide, I think you guys should contact Turbine and ask for a paycheck.
