wow. You all must have had your coffee being fed intravenously since your alarm clocks woke you this morning. Login and update servers patching 20 minutes after server shutdown? Notes up within the first hour?

Only thing left to knock our socks off is for the world servers to be online already by the time the first of us finish patching.

from world servers down to world servers RoR Live time/approval scale:
0-2 hours = knocked our socks off
2-4 hours = jaws hitting floor
    4-6 hours = Nice going
6-8 hours = yeah its a big update
8+ = pitchforks and torches come out. lol

Four Horse men of the aPUGalypse : Landroval : 6
And First of All, Badfinn : Meneldor : One of the Few Remaining Male Weavers.

Best thing in that list is the new item toggle, you have no idea how annoying that feature was when buying stuff from a vendor... like hey I got a new item.. really? You're kidding .. Wait I just bought that darn thing I knew that!

Ah but now I can switch it off *does happy dance*

I had 3 coffees, 5 meals, some ice cream and a lot of water.

Of course I work nights and am ready to go to bed, so I am leaving this updating and will take a look at it later anyways.

    Have fun early birds!

    Too late for that!

    Patching went fast and flawlessly.

Thanks for the quick patch note release, I too am thrilled by the prospect of finally being able to mentor pibgorn!

Thanks for the quick posting of the patch notes. However, I remember there was a promise for a developer's diary for the class changes in mounted combat, since the published ones cover only non-MC skills. I know that I can simply go to a class trainer when I log in and see the new skills for myself, but it would have been more helpful if these were included in the patch notes at least.

What I liked most in the patch notes is :

    • The player to be named later has been named. It wasn't you.
I like when patch notes have some small funny things in them ;-)

Couple of notable things people might wanna get out of the way:

Hunters and Wardens now have a Guide/Muster to Caras Gladhon.
There's a new horse to be purchased from the Heroes of Limlight Gorge.
Locked Lootboxes will give, on average, better drops.
You can now "search" for Passive Skills, Mounted Skills and Gambits in the Auction House (this is an interesting one).
Minimum level for Moors is now 80, and some items have been removed/general cleanup has been done.

All in all, really excited for today, and pumped to see what will come in Rohan

This is ridiculous. I had to wait for my client to update 20 minutes after the servers went down. Now the release notes are out in under an hour? This is poor performance, Turbine. I'd expect the update 20 minutes before servers down and the release notes 1 year before LotRO was even made! And it only took me half an hour to download and install the update. That should have been instant, with free TP for the delay! What's next? You're going to have the servers back up in under 5 hours?

    Shame on you!

(sarcasm, in case anyone missed it)

Thanks for posting these so promptly.

    One thing. There is no mention of the Mac LOTRO Client which we were testing in beta and was mentioned to be in the plan for release on launch today from the Twitter poster recently;

    LOTRO ‏@lotro
@tylercarpenter As a matter of fact, yes. Current plan is with the Riders of Rohan release.
    source: https://twitter.com/TylerCarpenter/s...75378040578049

Can you please confirm if we will in fact see a Mac client today and if so where to download it? Or whether I should download the PC version patch (will have to run it in Bootcamp as the Wine option is no longer working it seems) Thanks.

There's a lot of old info in these release notes, once you get to Raids & Instances.

"The stats on the Gauntlets of Perseverance have been increased to match the other two sets."

"The gates in the Storm on Methedras Skirmish were bugged, allowing players to close them, thus preventing completion of the Skirmish. They have been reset so that players cannot manually open or close them. "

"The gates in the Storm on Methedras Skirmish were bugged, allowing players to close them, thus preventing completion of the Skirmish. They have been reset so that players cannot manually open or close them. "

    and a few more.

Accurate at the time the comment was made (as noted in the tweet itself). However it will not be available with today's release. It's getting some last minute bug fixes and polish.

I love it! Great sense of humor! Thanks Sapience (and all others) for what you do to make this game what it is for those of us who love Tolkien!

Thanks for the information Sapience. I appreciate it was not something fixed in stone and happy to wait until Turbine are statisfied with the client before it is available.
