Rohan Awaits and Langhold *SPOILERS*

Been wondering about this for awhile but kinda hoped it'd work itself out. I entered Rohan via the epic questline that began in Lothlorien. I progressed the epics through Langhold, it's demise and the emigration. No issues there. However, I also had a quest resulting from a letter entitled, "Rohan Awaits". I had forgotten about this. The second objective is to speak to a guard in Langhold. Now, because I had progressed the epic past Langhold, there are no guards left. There is actually a gold ring showing on the radar but no one is actually there.

I know this is my mistake for not completing quests relatively close to when I accept them. I am just wondering if, because there is a ring on the radar, there is supposed to be a guard that hangs back or if the ring on the radar is just a little glitch. I would also like to know if I missed a questline or something by not doing "Rohan Awaits". I would really like to delete this envelope in my inventory if it's not going to lead anywhere. Just wanted to check with you all before deleting and cancelling this "Rohan Awaits" envelope/quest. Thanks and have a good one!

The letter tells you to speak the guard across the bridge into Rohan
he then sends you to the guard at Langhold

If you read the quest description it states you must complete this BEFORE finishing the Langhold Quest Chain, if you started that chain via the Book

That Letter quest has only TWO links
Speak to Guard across bridge
Speak to Guard at Langhold

If you have completed Langhold, and the guard is not visible, it is perfectly safe to remove the letter

Unless you're desperate for bag space you might want to keep hold of the letter since the above implies they will be fixing it at some point.

I came across this issue from another angle. I entered rohan on the first day through the epic quest line, explored a bit, did a few tasks, and enjoyed the new zone thoroughly, but had not bought the expansion or quest pack. Once I did decide to purchase the quest pack with tp, I got the mail and returned to the bridge and langhold only to run into this issue. I was concerned, but glad now to have found this thread and learned that it's only one quest I'm going to be short on my purchase.

I cannot find a quest giver ANYWHERE to complete Langhold. The quest line ends with having to complete Langhold in order to advance to getting the warsteed. Hoping someone can shed some light on what I may have missed.

It's just 1 quest, and it doesn't lead to anything else. It only exists to point you in the direction of the expansion. The only rewards are 13 silver and IXP/XP. I think it's safe to say that deleting this quest will not cause any hardship.

After that quest, I think you pick up a quest from a little kid just inside the gate? I think this leads to the quest where you go around whacking toddlers with a Nerf bat.

Correct. Behind the guard who sent you to beat up the salamanders is a child. When you complete the salamanders quests a quest ring should appear over the child's head.

Already did that.. you do that before Venomtongue if I'm not mistaken

You should get the Venomtongue quest while you are doing the salamander quest the gate guard gave you (unless somone else beat up Venomtongue just before you got there and he didn't respawn quickly enough for you).

Venomtongue is an optional quest, it does not affect your ability to continue with the general quest chain and does not affect your ability to get your warsteed.

After you complete the salamander quest there should be a child near the gate guard who has a quest ring. The quest is to play a game with some children. I have four characters in Rohan now and it has worked this way for all four of them.

Beat up the salamanders (Venomtongue is optional).
Play a game with the children.
A town guard will come to you during the game and ask you to help a farmer deal with some brigands.
The farmer will send you to a nearby brigand camp. When you get to the camp, watch out for a popup on your screen with two extra quests. One of those quests is critical, you cannot progress the quest chain without it. The quest involves confronting the brigand boss in a cave inside that brigand camp.

If you have not been sent to the farmer by the town guard, you have not completed the game quest with the children. Look for a child with a quest ring near the guard who gave you the salamander quest.

If you have been sent to the brigand camp but do not have any more quests, you missed the popup quests at the camp. Go back to the camp and watch for a popup message on your screen.

I have the same problem as well. Did the salamander quest AND wormtongue optional, then played with the children, went to brigand camp and confronted the brigand leader in the cave. Still no progress for me.

However, you said there were two pop-up quests in the camp? I only got the one so I´ll have to check that out.
