Could you also prod the Riddermark Lootbox tables? As recently as this past week they were still dropping Golden Tokens of the Riddermark periodically. With the Premium barter wallet these things now stick around FOREVER....

Agreed; I've got a couple of kinnies that have received them from Lootboxes and they felt cheated out of something (potentially) useful when I informed them that the Golden Tokens had no use. It'd be nice if there were no more future cases of this happening.

On a more serious note, they've been removed and replaced with Silver Tokens in the lootboxes as well.

Some years later, a couple weeks before the servers are about to shut down, Turbine will add a barter vendor to the game which will accept 5 Golden Tokens of the Riddermark for your very own Ring of Power.

Just remember to use in moderation, lest you become corrupted.

I presume that during the process of changing the droprate for 'lootbox weekend', they by accident loaded the wrong loottable, making these drop again as an undesirable side-effect.

That's what I'm guessing here. Lootbox content is created upon spawning, so a lootbox spawned during 'lootbox weekend' has it's content created according to the table that is loaded during 'lootbox weekend'. More than likely, the loottable of 'lootbox weekend' is a different table than the one we had before, causing this to happen.

With U13, old deeds were moved to a new format with new rewards, which also allowed them to add more meta-deeds for each area.

These meta-deeds rewarded the golden tokens (or the other highest level token) for the area they were for, so Gold Malledhrim stars for the Mirkwood meta-deed etc. Just another way to earn them, since some are very hard to earn with content that is no longer run, such as Lothlorien battles.

I am aware of that. The problem with Gold Riddermark tokens is that they serve no purpose at all, even though they were created (this is discussed earlier in this thread, and admitted by Sapience). There is literally not a single item that you can barter for using gold riddermark tokens, and it's also not possible to trade them for silver tokens, which are at least marginally useful.

Ah I remember those ones, yeah, that's a definite bug then. I'll bug this in-game, and others that read this should bug it as well.
