(And unrelated... how can the join date in the forum account not be edited by a simple sql, setting to the date we originally had with CodeMasters... Surely a date of 31.1.2007 can be converted to 2007.1.31. It is not like the date systems are /that/ different).

The information contained on the 6th Anniversary page is the 'website.' Forums has nothing to do with it what-so-ever. Also, as I stated very clearly before, this is not an issue with date formating, it's a question of the wrong date being used.

This is a fact I've not noticed stated anywhere else. Not in any FAQ or dev diaries from either year. Its nice to know this now..... given that many of us expected to get the 2 and 3 year rewards again and planned accordingly with what we had.

If you expected all the old rewards, I think you read more into the anniversary announcement than intended:

Our Premium and VIP players will also be eligible to receive additional gifts for the highest year their account has been active.

And then it listed the rewards for each year. It didn't say you'd get rewards for every year in which you were active. It very clearly said highest year. When you look at what you get for, say, 4 years, it doesn't say X,Y, and Z plus all gifts from years 1,2, and 3. It says X,Y, and Z.

Some people may have assumed that they'd receive gifts multiple years, since that was the case last year, but last year was the first anniversary celebration, and we all know what happens when you assume. I read the dev diary, and it was very clear to me what I'd receive.

This should have been the time Turbine says thank you loyal players, here is something special to say that we appreciate your dedication (and money).

Only "kinda" though, but at least give the rewards the first time, be it this year or last year.

Many of us are missing the sixth year gifts, and I find it a challenge to figure out what could have caused this problem.
Databases is usually an either-or kind of thing, so if it is a pure date problem, then everyone on side A should be affected and everyone on side B should not... as it is now, it seems random - which makes no sense.

I am just ticked Turbine did nothing to change the dates of years played. A lot of people who started in '07 were utterly ignored by Turbine. I started 15 months before Moria was released and did not get the max years. Turbine, you should had gone by year started and not months. But then again, look who I am talking too. Oh, and nice gating of dailies with Mithril Coins for reset. Real classy during the Anniversary.

Why stop at calculating the passage of time by years? Decades or Centuries or Millennia will do was well. And we can do this with Birthdays too! I'd love to be able to put ∞ as my age on forms.

According to Sapience it's completely unrelated... someone probably put in the wrong day for the anniversary reward.

Same situation. 6 year vet, got just a dinky box with fireworks in it. No new frame, no mount.

Rather disappointed to see CREEPSIDE no new 6 year frame or anything new there either.

Yep, seems impossible for Turbine to release even the simplest new feature/content without it being broken. I'm sure their entire QA department is playing/testing Infinite Crisis and totally ignoring Lotro, which does explain the appalling quality of content in the last year or so.....

At the end of the day i'm with Sapience about all this. Yes we've had delays before. Name one single game that hasn't... Also add to that list, if you would. A game that has not had bugs and oversights. In fact, I dare you to name a single organisation/company/ hell even a governing body of a country that hasn't. Point is boys and girls. It happens. I got my 5 year reward last year. So I will get my 6 year reward this year. Ergo: stop complaining and let the guys get on with what they do. You know. Make this game that you so happily complain about actually function.

Not for me it's not. EU lifetime account here (on my primary account, that is, not this one). Got the 5 year rewards last year, and nothing this year. No warsteed cosmetics or portrait. Relogged, restarted client, etc., etc., and nothing.

In that case, please file a support ticket and they can look into it. Calling is fastest, but I understand being outside the US that might be a problem. Though a number of players have reported that using skype works just as well and costs less/nothing.

It doesn't cost nothing if you don't have Skype credit, which you have to buy. I filed a ticket earlier today. I assume this is still open, as I did not receive anything saying it was closed, but I recall you mentioning that you were going to mass close tickets on this issue.

I believe they are, so if you do see it get closed just open a new one. That way they'll know you are still having the issue.
