Last I checked (10 minutes ago or so) Riddermark had 900.

At least the tokens are account-bound. I got a bundle with 5 and a bundle with 10. Woopie... I feel it may be hard enough to get the steed on ONE toon much less all NINE of my toons. -.- *cry*

why ppl are complainin??? in less than 120 kills in one of my alts thats 45 and is deeding for salamanders in evedim that are lv 34 in under an hour i got 4 bags of tokes :1st:20 tokens 2cond :10 3rd :5 tokens 4th : 5 tokens.....and they dont only drop in landscapes!!!!!is cause im hobbit burg??? rub some luck,spend less time whinning on forums and be in game or in other mmo

Same principle as gold class items, some get multiple and duplicates, others get nothing.

I can't believe the negativity...this is not a 1 week event, it will run for several weeks, so expect commensurate drop rates. Would it really be fun if all the servers could finish it by next week? The idea, as I read it, is to pick these up as you go, not endlessly go seeking them. This event has barely started, so maybe relax, quest, skirmish, whatever...and if you get some bounders tokens, so much the better.

The change to add a title to the T3 deed so it needs to be completed with every one of my characters instead of each just needing enough for the mount when the server hit its total effectively increased the amount of tokens I need to collect more than 150% from what I was expecting based on Bullroarer. This changes the event from something I can enjoy during my leisure to something I've pretty much got to focus on if I want any chance of finishing at these drop rates.

Laurelin, as at 5:40pm server time, 2450. I've donated about 165 tokens but that was several hours of pretty intensive fighting around the farms in wildermore. Drop rates pretty low.

Definitely seems to be a slow-burner, and something that just happens as you do your normal stuff. Only done the 4 compendium quests today (shard run), but dropped 2 bags in maybe 100-150 kills (10 + 5).

Both dropped from Grey critters, so they can happen anywhere. It will be interesting as time goes on to see if frequency and amount of tokens is affected by comparative level or power -- taking a run through the Nar's Peak quests where everything is basically Elite and up and waiting to see if that matters.

Lastly the thread might be fun to see if the imagined 'quietness' of some servers comes through in the totals.

No. But your first acquisition of tokens will send you to MD to start turning them in.

Now if we double that to factor in that the servers were down for half the EU playing day then we are looking at 3200 coins which works out at roughly 1.5 years..... ermmmm how long until Helms Deep comes out again? XD

I did the same for Snowbourn as well took their 5700 coins doubled it to factor in downtime today which gives you 11400 coins which is erm 153 days.... that's 5 months I think this may need a little tweaking hehehehe.

I doubt it since Edgecase said "Larger servers will unlock it earlier, and smaller servers will unlock it later" (source). More importantly, creating, testing, and loading a different code base for each individual server sounds like it would be too much trouble, not to mention how risky it would be.

Now the bad news.
I picked up the quest. I expected, like with the 2008 server-wide effort, for the drops to be fairly common, especially since there's 50 of them. I figured you'd see them in bundles of 5 or 10.
I killed ~20 humanoid grey mobs (75/76)
I killed ~60 on-level (85) huorns and wood trolls.
I finally killed ~60 level 83 humanoids

Not one token dropped.

I spend about an hour and a half in Agamaur and Garth Agarwen today, just killing grey mobs. Probably killed 350-400 mobs. 70 tokens.

Not sure who at Turbine thought that spending hours upon hours grinding grey mobs constitutes "fun".
