Character Info updates for Lotteries????

All of my toons on Brandywine are listed as they were over 4 months ago. While toons I created years ago to hold names on other server and recently leveled are listed at the correct level. Does it really take over 4 months for character info to filter thru the brandywine server? Is the brandywine server on its last legs and barely chugging along?

This is a long standing issue and unfortunately not one we can do much about. The data updates when it updates and all we can do is occasionally thump the boxes. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't, other times it appears not to them suddenly does.

So, kinda stuck with some chars not showing up.

All I have to say about that statement from Sapience is.....WOW. Looks like Lotro is running on the old Yugo corp servers, turbine musta have gotten a deal on them when the war started. Either that is just a cope out statement or the true problem is known and management is just not willing to spend some money on fixing it. They have to have some kinda accurate data on accounts and toons flowing outta the game servers or there would be all kinds of chaos. I would imagine that the premium server transfer service would get all screwed up if they didn't get accurate data. Say someone transfers a toon that he recently made that bear the name of another toon that someone recently deleted. Or even using the undelete service for a toon. When you use character copy link to transfer toons from live servers to Bullroarer the correct levels are always listed and the toons are as they were when lasted logged off. I mean I have 13 85 lv toons on brandywine, and only 3 are listed as being able to enter level 76-85 lotteries. While some of my other toons are listed at even lower numbers. It has been this way for over 4 months now.

Yula I know it is posted in the know issues, it still does not fix the fact that a huge amount of time has gone by and nothing has been done to fix it. In fact, it sounds like they plan on doing nothing ever.. The whole line about smacking the box and it maybe works is to say the least stunning. But thanks for reposting a link to something everyone who really has a problem with this issues has prolly read before like 500 times. I bet if turbine charged mithril coins or tp to enter the lottery this problem would be fixed in under a hr. I just find it funny that the Character Copy link which is accessed from the forums can show you the right info on your toons, but the lottery can't.

they also working on HD, and tbh if i have to choose i much rather have that too, atm not all my chars are shown either, but well, give m some time pls, i do see improvements, try to be patient...

It's even worse than it used to be for me.

At least on the old lottery all my characters showed up with the odd one showing a few levels different to reality ... now out of 19 or so characters only 3 are showing and one of those three is a character that has not existed for over three years.

I realize I will be pointed to the known issues thread on this, but I had characters that I deleted years ago show up for the New Player Lottery. Shortly after Moria went live I created and then deleted a Hobbit warden - somehow, she was on the list for the lottery yesterday.

I have 7 toons on Brandywine and none of them are listed on here. A few months ago I could see them all and enter the lotteries. Now, I can't. Any help? (levels are 9-85)

*sigh* I know I shouldn't be such a baby, but none of my Brandywine chars (that I am playing to exclusion of all others) are showing on the list. It's just sad.

Fantastic, and thank you very much! Now...could we pretty please get a lottery, because we have to test said issue fix, afterall? I generally bribe with cake, though I can make cookies if they are preferred! (you'll have to come to Indy to pick them up, though)

I've not been able to play one lottery since the forum change-over. There are either no active lotteries or I don't have eligible characters. Previously, with the range of character levels I've got, there were always multiple appropriate lotteries. I'm kinda confused as to why I can't participate.

Bad timing? There have been over 20 since the change over.

Also, for the record, if ANY lottery is running you can see it now. Regardless of character level. So if you see the 'no lottery' message it's because there is no lottery.

I love being able to see if there's a lottery running just by opening https://www.lotro.com/en/lotteries.

As far as timing and missing lotteries is concerned, most of the lotteries that have run since the forum update had much, much shorter durations (from flash up to 6-ish hours, only a few longer) than the regular lotteries in the past. All because they're still in the testing phase, of course.

I'll let you in on a secret: if you're EU based checking for lotteries is best done in the evening hours. You want to catch that timeframe when Sapience is setting them up in Boston, right?

Allright, another secret: flash lotteries or unexpected ones tend to be picked up on twitter by LOTRO fans, follow a few of them (and LOTRO itself, duh!) and you'll be better informed than most.
