Uhmm actually we aren't. I know im bloody well not anyways and im in customer service. Im not a psychiatrist or marriage counselor I serve drinks , smile polietly, keep the place clean and laugh at jokes and make the punters feel welcome and relaxed..and yes listen to folk moan about this and that as people do when the unwind but its certainly not something im paid to do...gods teeth i have enough neurosis of my own!

Venting is very positive, for the person that is doing it. You have to tell people your frustrations or they can eat you up inside.

As for the OPs vent, Whostolemyname should consider the people complaining on FB as people venting their own frustrations. People get frustrated when things don't work as planned, and the original customer service responses on FB were stated the opposite way of what actually took place. So that makes some of the people that were frustrated about all the events ending less upset, but it upsets all the people that made plans to play the expansion.

So go ahead and complain, but remember the community guidelines. It may fall on deaf ears but it will probably make you feel better.

Complaining about people complaining - that makes sense, and I realise now what I have done and how immature people will perceive it. Again, wasn't my intention, I saw it as some positive venting... anyway, guess I'll just talk about LOTRO to my pillow from now on.

However, consider, you are talking about people that post on Facebook. People who post anywhere are a small percentage of the people who play the game. So, you also should expect that small subset of the people who play the game and post on Facebook to also post in these forums.
