Hey, whatever floats yer boat buddy. I've been there, done that. I know what's up. Turbine's f2p system and "store" is garden fertilizer compared to Rift's and Neverwinter too.
You have no idea of what you're talking about.
Rift was released in 2011, Neverwinter in 2013. If both go to +6 years (like LOTRO) keeping the things this way (giving the most important and expensive things a game company do for free), you claim will have some point, for now is just one empty argument.

I'm sorry. I should have come to you for guidance and wisdom before I posted my common sense.

Please forgive me, oh wise and mighty scholar. You're right, I have no idea.

Really fun thing is that newer game, Rift, is less popular than Lotro even with less restrictive F2P. NWO is also rolls downhill fast and it seems also less popular than Lotro now (or will be soon). UPD: Just have look at site visits, yes, now NWO is less popular than Lotro.

Actually, not even close...on both counts.

When I log in to Lotro...Ghostown. I'd be lucky if I saw 2 people in Bree...at the same time. o.O

When I log in to Rift and Neverwinter, there are people ALL over the place....EVERYWHERE!

Nice try though...but you are mistaken...bigtime.

No, i'm not. Look at real statistics:
    Lotro.com: http://www.similarweb.com/website/lotro.com - 2.6M monthly visits
    Russian Lotro: http://www.similarweb.com/website/lotro-russia.com - 440k monthly visits
    Total: 3M

    Rift: http://www.similarweb.com/website/riftgame.com - 2.4M monthly visits
Russian Rift was closed last year (yeah another sign of great success) - 0
    Total: 2.4M

Lotro sites have 25% more visits than Rift site.

Yes, Rift may seem more crowded as it has server merges and some activities for high-lvl players in low-lvl zones. Also its f2p is still quite new so people come to see it.

    UPD:
    Neverwinter US+EU site: http://www.similarweb.com/website/nw.perfectworld.com - 1.5M
Neverwinter Russia: http://www.similarweb.com/website/nw.ru.perfectworld.eu - 1.2M. The game was launched recently and had big initial success but now as we can see rapidly goes down.
    Total: 2.7M

Already less than Lotro and will be even far less in future.

    "Real" statistics? o.O

Didn't I just get done telling you I log in to ALL 3 of these games myself?

I don't need your stinking statistics. I can SEE for myself, thank you very much.

BTW, go log into Lotro, go on the instance finder and good luck trying to find a group for an instance.

Ya, good night and sweet dreams.

    LOL @ your statistics.

Your imagination in "real" statistics and math is not better, thanks anyways.

That's like saying I should listen to a science major on how the earth was created because he/she has the "real" statistics and facts.

    No kidding Sherlock Holmes.

    Now ask yourself...

Why doesn't anyone USE the looking for group instance finder in Lotro?

    Ya, LOL indeed.

    Another info: http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cf...criptions.html

    Info from industry insider:

Oops, again Lotro has more players than Rift. But of course he has to be stupid noob and hidden Lotro fanboi. Every forum troll knows that Lotro is absolutely dead.

Because it was broken at the start and Lotro players still have long live tradition of GLFF using. I wonder whether you played Lotro at all. Though it's typical for some sort of forum dwellers.

UPD: Ah i look at your join date. You simply don't know the game's history. Ok then.

Not interested in your charts, stat boy/girl.

Logging into Lotro is...DEAD. If GLFF has over 100 on my server at any time, stop the presses, front page news.

Logging into Rift or Neverwinter is...NOT DEAD. There are players all over the place and it would take me less than 3 minutes to find a group for a skirm or instance for BOTH of these games. I don't care what your charts say...I CAN SEE!

I'm goin to go log into Lotro now and que for the Instance Finder. Wake me up for dinner, ok?

What a bunch of absolute rubbish.

Trust me, if I wanted to do a GB run, or ANY other low level instance content, guess what, GLFF isn't going to help. Been there, done that. Ya, instance finder was broken at the start, just like this game. BTW, why haven't they fixed it by now then? Oh ya, we have GLFF. ROTFLMAO! Whatever.

Ah, the old..."I just looked at your join date, you're a noob"

Trust me, I've been playing games like this while mommy was still breast feeding you. I'm older than you think and games like this are a dime a dozen. This isn't my first rodeo, junior.

OK, I think the vitriol and name calling have reached a level that shows this thread has outlived it's usefulness.
