    New Inventory Management

For the most part I love it. 333TP per +5 slots /account , up to a total of 999TP for +15.

The one thing that bugs me. No scroll-bars. I want one huge bag. I cannot do this unless I made the bag super wide or it literately doesn't fit in my screen. and I can't access stuff toward the bottom. I'd like not to have it cover most of my screen when I open it.

Why do you have to make it so wide?
I merged all bags and the resulting one-bag is very flexible. Can make it "thin and tall" or "wide and short" as I wish. Can make it 10 slots in width so that it resembles the default look of 6 bags close to each other, but now it is more compact. A width of 7 slots makes the bag of the same width as the quest tracker which perfectly fits my taste. In any case it feels smaller that 6 bags earlier open at once, and I am playing now on a laptop with low resolution.

I was afraid of this change as I expected that bags would get more vault-like look with a scroll bar which I don't want to see at all. At the moment I really love the new bag interface.

I love the new bags. I have not bought any more slots yet; but I have reworked them into three tall and one fat bag, all put on the right-hand side of the screen. Very nice, very nice indeed. I just might try the one bag with resizing, too.

Due to issues within the core of the game software the 90 spaces is likely to be it since we got 15 more spaces as part of Helms Deep - assuming you bought the really expensive version. If we as a big surprise get more inventory space it certainly will not be a crafted option. We have to buy it with Mithril Coins. Odds are a 15 space expansion for our inventory would be at least 100 Mithril Coins per character.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

Because I really dont have much vertical space available to work with.

I wouldnt mind making the scrollbar a toggle.

A couple of things I think would be helpful:

    1) When it edit mode, for the slots to be numbered in order. The game assigns an item to the first available slot, starting at slot 1. For this reason, I've always used bags 1 and 2 as my 'trash' bags when questing as they'll always fill first. That way my organised bags are kept out of the way. I would like to be able to regroup my bags to make them bigger and have less, but I lose track easily of which slots are from where. If they were numbered, I could keep the slot groups in order still when moving them between bags. As the slots can be moved in groups of 5, slots 1-5 could be labelled (1), slots 2-10 labelled (2) and so on..
    2) An option to reset the bags back to their original state - could be placed in the UI Settings panel.

    Thank you.

Could we get the Turbine Gold Coin icon removed when we've bought all of the bag space you have to sell us? I dont need it there to tell me where to go shopping at this point, and even with it there, you have nothing left to sell me that applies.

This should only happen if you are actively in edit mode when acquiring the item, which should be quite rare.

After you commit the edit mode changes, when you acquire a new item it will go into the first available slot in the lowest numbered bag, not where that slot was moved to. While you are in edit mode, those changes haven't happened yet, so the item shows up in the moved slots.

I definitely wasn't in edit mode when opening lootboxes. I had 15 empty spaces in bag 1. a couple of spaces in other bags. Items went to the other bags before going into bag 1.

It would be nice if you could give us some feedback on how the 'overflow' space that was originally used by 'deed rewards' and 'deed items (like barrow bree) is intended to work now. its behavior does not even seem consistent within U13. (unpacked lootboxes seem to wind up there sometimes, but NONE of the deed rewards expected at login went there, I only got the ones I had space for at login)

I also wanted to give you a heads up. I managed to get it to appear to be overwriting Slot 1,bag 1 so I had multiple items going poof into nothingness, repeatedly when I ran out of space in the other bags. I still had 15 empty slots (all the additional ones sold this time), in the bag. I could move items from this slot 1 bag 1 into those 15 slots and they would remain unaffected by the unpacking of lootboxes.

I wish I had taken a screenshot and logged the lootbox outputs. Because I did not, I can not tell for certain if all of the items were in fact given to me when I reloaded and it was just a display issue, or if some actually were lost. The overflow took some time to register after I logged in. I think entering a new landblock may have forced the notification to appear.

In playing around with the new inventory and its expansions I've found a minor issue... The system doesnt' appear to care about the 16+ slots in a bag so long as there is an open slot in the first 15 slots of any other bag. I say this because I have 25 slots in Bag 1 but slots 16 to 25 were left empty and then bags 2 and 3 were filled up with newly aquired items instead. I'm not sure how it will be affected if you move all the slots into only a couple of bags.

Something that might be worth mentioning (also /bug'ed it) is that you can't swap gear with full bags anymore. So it'd just tell you you don't have enough room to do that. It's a little detail but it can become pretty annoying if it's not fixed.
Overall I like it, I do wish you can also scale down it as a whole (including icons etc), and that's not just for bags, but also for a lot of other UI elements (like the trait tree panel...)

im actually pretty happy with the inventory bag changes.. i had copied my live toon over to test.. All of my toons hot bars were filled. a lot of consumables. so what i did is put just my consumables. in 1 bag and stretched it out into a single row and moved it so it looked like a hot key bar. then i emptied the the actual hot key bars of the consumables. I figured why use up bar slots when i can now make my bag look like 1 and just right click what i needed straight from the inventory. leaves my hunter more hot key bar slots for guides and return to ports, heh.

the new system is definitely a major improvement in my opinion.

I can't remember whether it's been said when this will happen, but Sapience said they would be live-streaming tomorrow (Monday) and would show off the inventory system. Anyone know when the live-stream will begin?

No time was given. I suspect we'll hear near the start of the work day when it's planned for.

I totally get the screen 'real estate' issue....

IMO LOTRO feels cramped on a 1920x1080 res - I'm very lucky, I run triple that on horizontal eye-finity, 5760x1080. So I can move stuff all over the place, social panel and quest log perma open. I use HugeBags plugin, sadly from what Ive heard this won't work in update 13.... I wish it did, it is STILL better than these updates.

A scroll option would be a great addition to the native bags. As it stands for want of a better word it does feel 'clunky'.

:/ Makes it rough to plan ahead. I guess I should consider myself lucky I don't have a full work day, but not everyone will be so lucky.

Apologies for the double-post, but I did want to make sure everyone interested knows the answer to my previous question.

Has anyone here used the LUA addon Hugebag? How does it compare to the new inventory. 'Cause I gotta say, hugebag is already pretty awesome and very customizable.

If it's not too hard to do this, would it be possible to add up to maybe 10 bags (the other 4 by default only visible in edit mode). Some people and especially vault alts might find this useful, and I can think of a semi-picky set up that could need this many:

-Main bag (random/new stuff goes in)
    -Consumables
    -Crafting materials/scrolls
    -Gear (spare equipment)
-LIs and LI scrolls/runes/relics [LIs might be alleviated if they can be moved into LI slot]
    -Quest Items
-Fun/RP things (Festival consumables, instruments, fishing items [this might be another in it self])
    -Task Items

This might just be picky, but 10 seems like a solid number that shouldn't need any more added to it. I think 6 is short just a few.

-Also, would it be possible to make the bag resize-bars disappear when edit-mode is turned off.
-I would also suggest that resizing would snap to the correct size so that there is no pixel space in between the edge and the side of the slot, but some people might not want that.
-It might be appropriate to add a "Tutorial Hint" with a brief explanation about the new system, so new players and returning ones can use it to it's full potential.

Bug: When you resize a bag and it is very close (1 or 2 pixels) from edge, it can glitch down to the next level when you close your bag and re-open it. Not sure if this is known, but I think it was said on the stream so I'm just putting it out there on this.
