I really want my Hobbit to be a Jedi Knight, I mean a Rune Keeper! I think if my hobbit could make fire works, I mean fire and lightening, then the shire would be one happening place! There is no way sharky and his cohorts would have scourged the shire. Every party would be a Gandalf like party. It would be like the anniversary was an all year event.

Alas, instead my hobbit jumps into stealth and goes around pick pocketing. I have to make a living.
they are all dead.. they just don't know it yet....

I actually like the hobbit presents, sometimes I get Dale's Cram which I find vastly superior to hobbit food. Sometimes I get a pile of copper scraps also vastly superior to hobbits. And I as well have a hobbit in another game, his name is Treek, oh wait that is an Ewok, nevermind, both have hairy feet.

What the game is doing is very simple, it follows Tolkien's line that hobbits never studied any form of magic. That's the only time he says outright that a people just didn't do magic. Same goes with hobbits being warlike or bloodthirsty, it just wasn't in their nature.

and finally the shide is inspired by the English countryside where high class people studied and were members of the army and peasants were not, I do not mean to a peasant hobbit I want a hobbit educated and distinguished as Frodo and if it can be Lm, as any human or Elf, not all the hobbits are peasants, nor all human scholars depends on culture and social class at that time. You must stop with the idea of the hobbit peasant and ignorant of once and for all
Hobbits just didn't know much about the world. Even Bilbo and Frodo only learnt Elvish and read some poetry and history so sorry, but you're wrong. Even an educated hobbit didn't know all that much. They were written to be rather small-minded so I'm afraid you're just going to have to deal with that. I'm pretty sure you've been told that before, as well...

and for knowledge of all I I have hobbit Wizard in another game and it is not nothing ridiculous here this test
And that's got nothing to do with anything. In 'another game' a halfling might be an assassin (and evil) and guess what, you can't do that in this game either! There's a difference between generic D&Dish halflings and proper hobbits, and here we're supposed to have more or less the real deal. Or at least as close as you're ever likely to get in an MMO.

The OP has a point. This game has four playable races, and it would be annoying if the first new class in 6 years can only be one of them. And it is additionally annoying that the one race that the new class can be is the most played class.

The developers can evade the "Beorn was human" lore problem by changing the name of the new class from Beorning to Skin-changer. When Gandalf describes Beorn to Bilbo in The Hobbit he calls Beorn a Skin-changer, as though skin-changing were an ability widely known to exist in people who aren't Beorn. Let characters roll skin-changers of every race and learn the secrets of the class from their class trainers, who may perhaps be descendents of Beorn himself.
I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. ~ Faramir

Undo the U12 class changes. The trait trees were, are, and will always be a bad idea.

Dwarves hate magic? Since when? You will have to explain that to Falaminianteraglith, he likes magic very much, and I would hate to break the news to him that he is just a hobbit with a beard...

This kinda sounds like "the lore is broken anyway, lets just shash it some more, PASS ME THE HOBBIT BEORNING", the shards of Narsil were enough to cut the ring from Sauron's hand, just saying.

Frodo was hardly a scolar, just becouse he speaks a little elvish does not make him a loremaster, I can read and understand a little latin, does that make me a historian?

Let me just say this, if it was not for Tolkien, there would be no hobbits in that game of yours. And since this is a game based of the works of JRR Tolkien, what he says goes. If he says "NO HOBBIT WIZARDS" than you'd better listen. If he says, "no hobbit Beorning", than that goes too.

Hmmmmm. Maybe two Hobbits could be one Beorning.

They have to be Stoor Hobbits though, no Fallohides or Harfoots. They have to be close enough to touch, then one of them clicks the skill and they both shout "Wonder Stoors! Shape of a Bear". The animation has the Hobbit who clicked the skill climb on the others shoulders, then they change into the bear. Then the cool part begins.

Both players control the bear shape at the same time. Bear just runs amok amongst the mobs, down the road away from combat, or simply off a cliff. In a group, it could pull all the aggro and tank it handily, or just run off to parts unknown.

... some definitely had a love for lore and learning. Why else would Bilbo set down and write his book, or Frodo his? The last few pages of the Red Book were saved for Sam, so apparently he, too, would write down the events as he saw them.

A love of learning (other than genealogical lore) was far from general among them, but there remained still a few in the older families who studied their own books, and even gathered reports of old times and distant lands from Elves, Dwarves, and Men.

They may not all have been scholars, but that doesn't mean they didn't have time for it. They had LOADS of time; most simply chose to do other things, namely farming.

After all the time since they added RKs, people still get this wrong? RKs are not Jedi Knights. They are Sith Lords. Get it right! And let's face it, most Hobbits would abstain from shooting lightning from their hands for fear of burning the pie they are holding.

I am, however, disappointed to learn that Hobbit's can't have access to the new class. Damn. And I've been saving the names Paddington and Ruxpin hoping that we would get Hobbit Beornings.
