I have tried a quick search but cannot find anything regarding the costs for new Beorning class.

I would like to know quite soon if there will be a bundle including

• Beorning
• Extra Slot
• Gift of Valar

I notice that Gift of Valar is on -50% sale up to the day before the update and would like some clarification as to whether this is bound on account or not. In other words can I buy it while on sale and then apply it to the Beorning after the update.

Can someone point me to where all the packages have been published? If not published yet, can you get your skates on please QuartermasterU?

What has been on Bullroarer (with the proviso that everything on BR is preliminary and subject to change) is that the Beorning class by itself will cost 1000 TP, and that there will be a bundle consisting of the Beorning class and one extra character slot for 1295 TP.
Some people have reported that the character slot included in that bundle is only available through that bundle - just like the extra slots bundled with the Moria expansion. (The maximum possible number of character slots will also be increased from 17 to 21.)

So far the Gift of the Valar has not quite worked properly for Beornings on Bullroarer, but that will hopefully have been fixed before the actual release.

AFAIK no bundle that includes Gift of the Valar has been promised or announced anywhere.

Note nothing in the store is priced at round numbers, so I'd look toward the warden and rk price as a guide more than mock Bullroarer. A bundle with Gift of Valar would make more profit sense in the future rather than initially I'd imagine.

The original plan was for all Beornings to start at level 50. I expect the Gift of Valar for a Beorning to be available as soon as they can get the Gift to work.

Whatever the price is going to be it will be of great use to Mac users running 10.10 considering the Store does not work at all.

Of course, this kind of situation should be corrected by Turbine ASAP. In the meantime, there is a workaround for at least some of those who wish to purchase the Beorning class at launch. If you have a RL friend who also plays LotRO, but runs it on a different OS, ask them to let you use their machine for a couple of minutes. Log into your account on their system and launch the game. Open the in-game Store and purchase the new class (or anything else you want to buy). As this kind of unlock applies to the account rather than the computer it was made on, you will then have the Beorning available on your own system when you next log into your account there. (Obviously, the usual comments about password security apply in this scenario.)

Who is making the decisions down there in Turbine... it would seem the tail is wagging the dog one day then vice versa...

The only real reason other than complete chaos is that the Beorning isn't going to be ready to ship and they are reluctant to commit yet..... wouldn't be the first time.

I am inclined to agree. No dev diary. No formal announcement on the forums. (And talking of U15 in general, not just the Beornings, etc.) Turbine has all these forms of communication: launcher notice, twitter, facebook, twitch, 3rd party, and these forums. They should use all of them equally and at the same time. And we really need some solid details, like pricing.

Especially, and perhaps even particularly since the GotV does not currently work with the Beornings (from what I understand). That needs to be publicized, or the phones are going to be ringing off the hooks come Wednesday.

I quite agree. Especially when you factor in the character slot. By all appearances, this character slot is not obtainable elsewhere (a la Moria xpac). What about players who want all three? Will there be a bundle where players can get all three at a discount? Character slots were on sale recently too, if I'm not mistaken. :/

I think you're right. I also want to say that I put in my two coppers about that aspect in the BR forum. I am hoping for a round 4 to prop later today, since the GotV did not work with the Beorning in round one and was turned off, if I'm remembering correctly.

While that's true, think some about how producers have to work with the press. It is not unusual for producers to agree to an embargo to allow the press to have 'exclusives' or at least be the first public source (the press outlets need eyeballs/ratings, afterall). These pressers are a form of advertising as well.

There is no bundle including Gift of Valar at this time.

They are. F2P gets 2. Premium adds one. VIP adds two to the three premium get. Moria adds two. You can buy 10, yielding 15 for a VIP that did not buy the Moria expansion. If you buy all 10 plus have VIP and bought Moria, you can now have 17. With U15, you will be able to buy three more (13). Buying the class + slot bundle adds one more. So, the total is 21 for a VIP that bought the Moria expansion, bought the Beorning class + bonus character slot, and buy 13 bonus slots from the store.

YES! I want a round 4 sooooo bad. And I know that among things mentioned already, the music revamp is in a poor place right now. That needs to be addressed too.

They did, though I don't know by how much. So you'll be able to buy more slots with the standard character slot purchase. I believe, however, that the character slot that is in the bundle is sort of an "exclusive" slot. You won't be able to buy it separately (the way the Moria slots worked).

I have a question. Will there be one in the future? As it stands today, I cannot buy this offer. A value bundle with the GotV will make the offer more attractive to me. I would consider buying the GotV now if I knew that I could make my own bundle that would work correctly.

Or perhaps the better question would be, how much would such a bundle cost in the future? Would it benefit players both in time, convenience and money to buy the GotV now while it is on sale and the Beorning on Wednesday, or wait until they are offered as a bundle? Is the current sale a good enough discount to make buying now the more appealing offer of the two?
