G'day folks,

So, I've never really been into the whole PvE Moors thing before.
Visited a few times over the years, and then pretty much left after 15 mins as I had no idea what was going on.
But over the last few weeks I've stepped out quite a bit, and while there is still a hell of a lot I don't understand, I do understand this.

When one of you bloody wargs jump me...


My heart starts racing, my hands start to shake, I completely forget how to play my class and it's freakin awesome!
This is the most fun I've had in years playing Lotro.

So to all you Creeps out there. Thank you.

I definitely cannot speak for all Wargs but when I am playing on a Warg (lol...DosXX commercial) and a Hunter is in the Freep group then what you describe is completely accurate. For me at least, it completely changes Stalking. Now I can be tracked and popped out of stealth from a distance...writ of fire, a few bleeds, pick a DoT and sprint doesn't matter. I just die tired . Consider it a compliment that you are targeted first. When on Freepside I hear the occasional complaints about Wargs. If Freepside can actually get a Hunter to come out to the Moors/Osgil and protect him/her than...just my own opinion...the Warg harassment will be at least somewhat diminished. IMHO your class is greatly under-appreciated. Kudos to you for bringing your Hunter to PvMP. You have at least 1 Warg that respects Hunters. I still have to kill you (try to) but it is because you pose the greatest threat to a Warg's greatest utility...Stealth.

Been having wargs run from my hunter lately as soon as they hit my first trap. they see yellow hunter and decide not to bother.

Yellow line > kite the warg off the face of the earth. Once the root pot is blown the warg shouldnt even get close enough to kill you.

What a silly comment. I believe pvp is so dead because, like all servers, imladris doesnt have the numbers for consistent action so people aren't sticking around.

It has the players, but none of them want to fight a yellow hunter on wargs, like me. There's no reason to feed points. It's not even worth my time to log in anymore, because the only thing I find is low ranks (which are no fun to fight) or Alfadan using every CD and skill he has to win. lol

You seemed to have missed my intention. Apologies, allow me to explain further just for you. How long he has been playing is irrelevant, his comment however was one that sounds like it would be made by someone new to the game. If you would like further explanation shoot me a pm and I would be happy to have a sit down and explain myself. I understand language nuances can be difficult.

Also I have no idea who bragudkshdhdi is and I'm sure he is just a dapper and wonderful player. But I do just fine in yellow line and see no reason to play anything else.

Well we all have our preferences, no right or wrong way to play the game. Whats important is everyone be able to accept that without being offended or feeling superior. That, apparently, takes a huge amount of skill absent in so many people. It's alright though, not everyone can do it I suppose.

Skill ceiling on lotro is really quite low. It wouldn't be unbelievable for skilled players to be able to play nearly every class well. Once you know the basics of pvp and can execute them well, no class in the game is complex enough that you would need more then a week to play well.

I was actually talking about gear. To be competent on a hunter you need to be geared to the max. Whereas certain classes like guardian, and even captain you don't need top notch gear to faceroll.

Ahhh I see. Well it doesn't take particularly long to get maxed out gear. And more importantly it is very easy to get that gear. A person can casually put in one or two hours a day and manage to get the best gear in a reasonable amount of time. Lotro is an exceptionally newbie/casual friendly game.

What about them? They're all good hunters who are good at their respective lines. What's that have to do with a hunter deciding to run yellow? I never said blue or red weren't worth running, I'm saying the fact that they are has no bearing on whether yellow is. I don't even like yellow, but people saying it's OP because it's hard for wargs to get around is downright stupid. Run into literally any other creep in the line and you won't have a chance (unless they're really really bad, but it would take some skill to be *that* bad) because the DPS is shameful. And did you actually just say WL is the most unsolo friendly class in the game? Like for real? Like omg no lolz? (See how amused and derisive I am toward your opinion?
