Vote - Server transfers

Hello Windfola,


I am starting this thread to keep track of where the various kinships of Windfola are moving to. What I am hoping to achieve is to ensure that atleast a few of the Windfola kinships move to the same server so that we will still have familiar faces around.

Once each kin has made their decision, I request one member from each kin to post a reply here to state where they have decided to go to. I am guessing a lot of people don't really care which server they go to as long as it has some of the same people they care about. If we get a certain threshold of kins moving to the same server, we might very well see other kins follow to the same server.

I will update this initial post with a list based on any reply I get so that any returning folks will be able to see which server their kin went to.

The list below is subject to change.

Thanks for the info Hirandiel. I will update the first post with the info once Trucido makes their decision. I do not expect most kins to make their decision till the weekend.

Stealing some information from another poster to show the population/activity in the remaining servers :

It is the total amount of logins since the last time was restarted, which was Monday 7/27:

1 - Brandywine: 56430
2 - Gladden: 29252
3 - Landroval: 25374
4 - Crickhollow: 15202
5 - Arkenstone: 11697

This might help people who are making their decision based on the number of people on the server. Few other characteristics to keep in mind - For those that are interested in RP, Landroval is most likely the best. For those interested in 1 v 1 PvP, crickhollow seems to be the best.

I am moving to Arkenstone. The login numbers above support my decision. I don't want to be on a busy server. Less is better.

I am taking my Windfola toons to Arkenstone. That server will get more busy, but it won't be a lagfest server like Brandywhine or Landroval.

By the time all is said and done, I think Arkenstone will be a really awesome sized server.

Just my two cents. If you are looking for PvP, I do not recommend Landroval. I rolled a creep several months ago, and it was probably the worst PvP server I've played on. Absolutely no small-group/solo action, and the Creeps had a terribly defeatist attitude that often led to Grams Camps. Whether that has changed with Osgiliath or not, I do not know, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

Also worth mentioning that Crickhollow seems to have the majority of old Windfolians on it, including a few from Trucido, a former Oathsworn (myself), and a handful of others. I will be transferring all of my toons back to Crickhollow later this month, and I've love to see some old faces.

No final decision yet but so far Crickhollow is the number one choice for Thorns of Telperion with Arkenstone as our #2 if problems develop as the transfers move along.

Initial post updated with info received so far. Please note that the list will only include kin transfers. While it will be great to include individual transfers in the list, its not realistic to track that using a forum thread due to the sheer numbers that we will have to deal with.

Unless I hear otherwise from the rest of the kin, The Brotherhood will likely be moving to Landroval. It is still up for a vote, though, so this may change.

Confirmed transfers to Crickhollow from members of the Windfola Alliance in addition to Thorns and Oathsworn are: The Watch, Tribal Knights and Night's Watch, also likely to join us on Crickhollow; Light and Flame other kinships have not yet finished discussing but I'll update as we get more information.

Does the "Children of Iluvatar" kin still exist on Windfola? The leader name started with an E but I forgot what it was. That is where I started my Lotro history, before moving over to Riddermark. I still have toons on Windfola, and I finally get to move them together after 2+ years of not wanting to pay for it..... I am excited.
