World Transfers

Maybe I missed this information but: is there a timeline when which server will be transferred? I'm playing mostly on Maiar and it doesn't show up in the list of servers if I try to move my characters to Laurelin.
I got it right: ALL servers will be available for transfer, Maiar too? Correct?
One further question: I have 9 char slots on Maiar. Can I move all 9? Answer must be yes because I paid for them, right?

No, Maiar is not open for transfers yet... only the five EU worlds that are not closing are currently open for transfers.
Yes, you can transfer as many characters as you want.

There is a sequence for the servers in each geographical region (NA and EU) to be opened for transfer (https://www.lotro.com/en/game/articl...e-announcement), but no schedule has been set. The schedule is and will be subject to change, as the specifics of the transfer system are tested (and revised, if and when necessary) and the hardware is put into service to open Brandywine (hopefully) into incoming transfer mode. Since these changes are unpredictable, Turbine has chosen to offer no schedule to players (I'm sure they have had several internal schedules and are likely on Revision 6 or so) rather than one they may well not be able to meet, even at no fault of their own (third party work at the data centers most likely was not on the Critical Path initially, but probably is now).

I just did a Transfer and it worked perfectly no problems.

As I understand it, characters already on an EU server can only transfer to other EU servers. Same with US servers. Where the owner resides in RL has nothing to do with the transfer, so your friend should be safe on the US server.

I have tried to read some of the pages on this thread but still am confused on a couple of issues. My RP partner is EU but plays with me on a US server i.e. Landroval.

I am assuming we don't know if this will be considered one that is kept or not but if so... will he still be able to play on the US server or will he have to move to a EU server with his char.

If he has to move then either he or I have an option to remake our char? (Both of us only have one char also)

Probably just a couple of minutes.I'd be surprised if it took more than 10.

Ok b/c my kin leader has already decided that he was going to transfer to Arkenstone today and I didn't know if it was going to be a long process or if it was going to be short b/c last time I remember transferring servers it took a day . Thanks!!!! For responding!!!! <3

I have several (14) freep toons on Laurelin, along with 6 creeps. They should be available for transfer to other remaining worlds... but I can't see them listed in the 'Transfer' window from launcher.

Some other people have been reporting this.I have 1 toon on Laurelin which was purely created for population research.Closing and re-opening the Transfer window seems to solve the issue for me.

I haven't seen this question asked, though maybe I missed. In any event - I have 3 characters on one server that is staying open and 1 on another that is staying open. If I move 1 of those 3 to the other server what happens to things like marks and medallions? Do all of them transfer, none, 1/3, other?

Don't take my word for it,but seeing the Transfer window here it seems like you can select one character for transfer or all characters.I would assume that one single character would only carry over things like vault storage and other similar things and the Select All option would pretty much transfer everything to the server of your liking.

Anyone having a problem with the transfer panel where it wont show your characters? sent a ticket but they didnt know what to do either.

The Transfer 'button' is not showing. It was showing for me all day. Hopefully that means they are tinkering with setting it up for the 5 US servers to be available for transfers.

I was online not more than an hour ago, there was a button then. Now I just checked it is gone. The only worlds it showed that I could transfer to were all EU servers. Thats not right, Im on the east coast of the US not to far from New York city. So why show me EU servers, I have always played Meneldor since I started this game I have been VIP since the start.

Right now it seems they are down. Again. The have some unrelated networking issues that seem to be happening at the same time. Or perhaps related in the sense they may be moving stuff from Boston to New Jersey, and some things are breaking because they are attached to new external IP's.

US server transfers aren't available yet. They were SUPPOSED to launch yesterday. Then they were postponed till today. And because they are having "unrelated" problems again, they may get pushed off till tomorrow, or even past the weekend if they want to be able to monitor and troubleshoot during regular business hours.

It would be nice to get an update from Turbine, it's already past 5 PM in Boston so they will be going home soon..... At least, the regular office staff will be.

US servers were listed by the soap requests, just before the service was down.
Maybe they will still be there when the connection problems will be fixed...
