Having the priorities switch without warning and being shunted to the end of Fall feels like a kick in the teeth. The rest of my fellowship moved smoothly and our gaming's been stalled for weeks now.
The 48 hours of transfers between the worlds were for testing purposes only, and I believe it was announced as such. If your kin considered it as "in production" and decided to move, the risk on anything going wrong was on you.

These opening and closing transfer windows are in order for us to catch any unknowns that did not show in internal testing and get them corrected before we can bring the new service online fully. Once we have corrected these issues, the transfer service will be available at all times as it was in the past.
This isn't a "kick in the teeth". You and your buddies decided to test a process that was still being bug-tested. Some of you got lucky. You didn't. Now that they have ironed out all the bugs and the testing phase is over, they came up with the plan, and as such the transfers are starting as "official" and "in production".
Don't worry though you will still get to transfer for free. But you may not get that chance for 2 more months.
Moved from Riddermark to Arkenstone on 9/29/2015!
