It's been a while since I posted, but figured what a better time to bump with all these transfers coming in, you can view some Gladden history!

I wanted to finish off most of the influential wardens now. Also, by Dori's annoying, persistent requests, I added his reaver :P.

In all honesty, I dont really know you too well, Ugh. You'd have to ask Swift to update it or someone else. I will however update that you were 2nd rank 14 hunter though.

I just don't have a thread commemorating the event so some peeps aren't fully aware.

How can it count if the gladden freep didn't rank on Gladden. Just like with Spwit.

No, Duime is not the first rank 15 freep because he went over to another server to get a majority of rank that had an advantageous population. It's nothing against him being terrible either, but he just didn't gain enough renown here in that span to be considered the first rank 15 in my mind.

What Suuds is saying, is should Althorr count as 2nd rank 14 hunter, since he spent about a year on Brandywine. If you're going to have some kind of transfer rule, then Ugh is 2nd rank 14 homegrown hunter.

Though ranking is nearly irrelevant now...let's keep things in perspective.

Following your logic quoted above, Ugh would be the 1ST rank 14 hunter, since you transferred off Gladden then came back yourself.

Shall we also disqualify ranking if you've gained renown while multi-boxing?

Fwiw... I hated BW... and the pvp...and hardly played while I was there...and actually stopped playing Lotro entirely for a time.

I might've gained 20-30k renown on BW...most likely far less than you or Ugh gained using + Infamy/Renown buffs...o.O

By far and away the vast majority of my points (gah...points) have come from straight up solo fights (on my part)...against non-greenie creeps.

Since about rank 10, almost every creep i've seen rank 3 or less has gotten a free pass from me...it is known...(some few hard headed ones wouldn't accept my generosity and persisted in getting themselves killed...lol)

I've never farmed, multi-boxed, exploited, ran with a pocket anything, camped slug pits, or used a + Renown buff...and have always played within the rules of the game...

I've also never suggested, or taken a group into the delving for more worthless point buffs.

If i'd have killed every creep I encountered, or used point buffs lol, I would've made rank 14, and 13 for that matter, long before either of you...

99% solo....

My experience to bw was similar to Al's. I remember one day going out with the kin I was in there at the time and making 233 renown trying to be a trio, then getting Roflstomped by the zerg and heal tagged by superfreep and realizing bw moors sucked and I quit. Eventually Gilthonial convinced me to play again and bring my captain back to gladden. I think just about all of us have tested to see if the grass really is greener on the other side, and those who came back realized it may be green, but it's crabgrass

Bailiff has been added to Freepside.

I wanted to finish off the ancient warg pack and add Bailiff who was an interesting character. It's been a while since I added anyone, but idk if I'll continue to update really old characters and since I don't play much anymore, especially with the new transfers. Maybe it's time to leave room for the new impacts on the server. I figured it needed an update since it's been a while, though. If people want to provide updates for newer people to the server and their impact, feel free and I'll put them in.

Not totally related to the spam but we were having some issues with users trying to put bad things in signatures and others who were circumventing the rules we had in place. As of this morning I have disabled signatures until such time as I can get the issues resolved.

Yes I agree it is less than good. We are investigating what our options are for players to get their sigs back.

Happy 4th anniversary to this thread (well 2 weeks ago haha)!

I haven't posted on here in a while as I had taken a break from the game, and still am for the foreseeable future.

However, it's been a longggg time since I posted about any players from Gladden's rich, proud history.

So, in the lulls I have at work, I decided to hopefully add to this, and I need your help for people that wish to contribute in keeping our server's memory alive, if not physically, but to have a record of those who deserve mention in engendering the pvp community that made this server special. In this, maybe it can get some of that special nature back!

Idk who really cares about the history of our server these days, but I do, and I feel that I should continue it for those that are interested, and just for my own self-preservation as Gladden's unofficial pvp historian.

Anyway, I just did a tally of Freeps to Creeps, and apparently its 92 Freeps to 63 Creeps that have had records written about them, too many freeps lol. I'm going to try to even it out as much as I can and focus on more creeps for now. I'll make sure to do the proper updates for the Timeline as well so everyone can get a feel of what time each person played/plays.

Hey all, most of you may not know me as many of you are new to the server, but that's not important. Hope everyone has had a great new year so far and continued success in whatever endeavors you're doing in game and out.

What's important is keeping the history of the great server alive for almost 10 years now.

I've mainly taken a hiatus from this game, but I'd figure I return to update some historical stuff for your viewing pleasure/intrigue if you're interested.

However, as much as I love the history of our pvp and pvpers that were involved, Idk how much longer I'll continue posting about characters new and old. Over the years and due to lack of play time (haven't really consistently played in a couple years), my memory grows foggy. There has been many tales told about many great and not-so-great players and events of our server. Too many to recount unfortunately, but it has been worthwhile for me to keep the ideals of our server alive when this game was at its peak.

Without further ado, here's what I've updated, most of you probably won't know these people, but it's my innate duty to keep whatever semblance of history alive, alive haha .

Timeline of Osgiliath has been updated to 19.2.
Grogog's rank status as first rank 15 defiler has now been officially changed.
Agentorange's rank status as retainer of rank 15 defiler has been officially noted as such.

Lukiluk has been added to Creeps.
Gas has been added to Creeps.
Zalbag has been added to Creeps.
Mudpie has been added to Creeps.
