The Scavenger Hunt this week in Wildermore was much, much better than the one last week in Cliving. The story did not make any sense to me, but the clues were most certainly sufficient. I also appreciate the ability to fast forward to the end on subsequent characters. Finally, thank you for the horse companion. Role players have been asking for horse 'followers' for years, and I am very appreciative to finally get one.

I failed this week. I hate wildermore anyway, stupid trees. Things were hidden from my sight apparently, because i had no luck

Saw both the rider and horse and then the pony in the AH a while ago. Very surreal. Very interesting pets to say the least.

There is one issue that will affect players who have not explored Wildermore. I'm not sure how many clues are placed throughout the map, MoL mentioned there are many clues that lead to one place. However, one clue that got me on the trail was mention of a camp, Kadar-golnauk, from the barber. Having discovered the entire map, I was easily able to go directly to the camp marker. Anyone who has not yet quested in Wildermore, or did not quest enough to discover the camp, would not have that point marked on their map. There should be other clues, but just to help anyone who may not have Kadar-golnauk discovered, its location is 33.0S, 61.2W.

Thank You-I have never been to wildermore before so I had no idea where that place was. Found it thanks to you

and now I have my Tanglemane pony pet to go with the others. Wish there was a way to summon more than one pet at a time though

Asked this over on the other thread, but will ask here.

    #### SPOILER for this week's quest - no reading if you don't want spoilers...

Aside one or two blips, I did follow the quest fairly straight. Main blip - the clue from the orc who had been attacked by the axe - was there even a direction in his message? I have done it on two alts now, I was a little stumped - unless he was trying to say no orcs would have the money so head for the nearest non-orc settlement? Thoughts?

If you're talking about the orc in the camp north of Scylfig, he mentions the High Knolls. If you follow along the main road heading towards the High Knolls, you run into the next clue-giver.

Don't know if this has been said, but that orc near the farm has a very weird voice... for an orc....

Nope, following that orc was ok. I mean the one from the farms

That one didn't even make enough of an impression on me for me to remember him, so I guess he didn't have anything too significant to say!

So how did you know to go from the man on the road to get to Forlaw? I'm just trying to get my head round the logic of the route, since some people above say it was straight forward.

I agree, that orc's message was less than helpful, and threatened to be a dead end. Basically I just kept on what little of a road there was after that point. What worked well was that if you got stuck and you just went to the next nearest place where people were, it generally led you to someone, because there wasn't only a single path of clues, there were clues in many places. That very first clue, where you go up the path from Cliving into Wildermore, already set that precedent, as you were given no real direction after entering Wildermore, but only a small bit of wandering got you to something.

Ah, yeah, makes sense. I think my head was saying there is a direct trail people are finding and I am not seeing. For the most part I did follow the directions.

I think this has been asked before - for people like me who like to collect the housing items and pets, will there be a way to get more barter tokens in the future - I am moving two alts through the regions (and one of them, Dinsul, has now hit the level wall, so I'll have to fast get him up to speed) - I love the rewards, they are thoughtful and look great. As a collector of such stuff, I'd like the opportunity to get them on Rana (or Din) and not have to use another alt. Possible in the near future? Right now Rana is having to make tough decisions of what to not get

My apologies if my post was one that made you think you were missing something. Previous search quests have had issues, such as clue-giving NPCs hidden by old lower-level daily quest rings, and not being able to 'see' an item with your eyes, but rather having to step right on top of it with your feet. I spoke out my complaints about those quests, so I wanted to speak out my satisfaction with this one. MoL said in another thread that there were clues all over the map, making it easier for people to find some sort of clue. The clue-giving NPCs were clearly identified, no hidden rings, and the disturbed snow tracks were raised and sparkling, making them easy to 'see' with your eyes from a ways off. That is what I meant about this quest working correctly. I didn't mean for my post to confuse anyone, and if it did I am truly sorry.

I'm also wondering about the barter tokens. My main character is following Bingo, and she gets the upgraded hat rack each time it's available, and all of the pets. She has also gotten one or two housing decorations. So far she's ahead with tokens, but it's an uncomfortable feeling not knowing if she'll always have enough and if there's any way for her to get more. I've taken a couple of alts as far as Rivendell or Eregion with Bingo also, and wonder if I would 'have' to continue with them to be able to buy more things in the future.

I just decided to follow the road, I was going to check Forlaw anyways, so I just kept going.

@MoL : I did A Cold Trail today I am need to tell you honestly this was the least enjoyable and most frustrating quest of the whole adventure. It was confusing for me, I ended up talking to NPCs like the barber and others because they had the golden rings above them but the rings would still be there after so I thought they were bugged . I used LOTRO wiki to try to make sense of it all but even so I was unsure or where to go or who to talk to. When I finally got to Kadar-golnauk I did kill him as the wiki said I should ( he had a ring on his head ) he reappeared after a few moments still showing the ring so I was not sure if I had done the right thing. In the end it took me a lot of running around following the wiki as much as I could , mostly hoping for the best and I was able to complete.

I love the new rewards and Tangkemane and the apple barrels , thanks for those because they are really nice but the quest may still need some adjustment if you want people not to get too confused or frustrated

I think this week's quest was well done: not too easy (we have got used to just going where quest tracker ring tells us to go), but not too hard either as there was clues around, and basically you got the right route from NPC's you spoke at each step. I wasn't really lost in any point of this chain. First when entering Wildermore and found the first clue, I was a bit confused when the quest still asked me to find this NPC somewhere in Wildermore, but I thought to go to Forlaw as the road already pointed that way. So there I was sent to barber, and was a bit confused as the quest ring still stayed on his head after I talked to him, and wasn't sure where to go, but when I walked out, I saw Bingo near barber and got the next clues. Basically when I wasn't sure where to go, I just decided to aim for the POI's and there was always something that told me I am on right track: either Willem Whiskers or glowin snowdrifts etc...

Did A cold trail just now and imo this is one of best quests so far. It actually required you to think and all made sense: robbed gold -> goes town to try spent it. Run out of rations -> go to next town and so on. This was so much better than previous week's episode. Enjoyed this really much and this is how you make quests where you need to search something.

Nicely done!! Weaving the return of a certain familiar character into our ongoing quest was especially welcome, this week.

Love the Bingo! I dunno, I tend to disagree with having potentially dozens of Tanglemane's running around.

will we be able to get an Efts pet? I would love to have one of those

I enjoyed this episode and was quite surprised to see Humfrey show up in Wildermore when we only met him in Evendim.
