“And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge.”
? J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
Last weekend I made a High Elf Minstrel, when I had logged her in both her arms were hanging down, but this weekend after logging her in, her left arm is now bent upward. Is this a bug or is it a new change? If it's a new change please change it back, it just looks strange bent up for no reason.
Also when riding a mount she sits stiff and her hands don't appear to be touching anything , just sort of held out in front of her, not any where near the horse. Maybe bring them down a tad and lean her back more forward.
I have major concerns with some of the characters I copied over from live and the Avatar Update Visible button. I now checked 3 of the 4 elfs I copied and so far 3 of them are having this same issue. I have the box unchecked in both the log in screen and the Adv graphics but when I go to check all thier cosmetic outfits this 1 set or armor doesn't fit the way it should and does on live, and not only that but thier body shape changes as well in that 1 cosmetic amor slot. It goes to the updated version is my guess. Causing the armor not to sit right. If this goes live like this and that button has glitches like it now seems to have, I'll be rather upset by it.
If anything, please delay the character customization until after the release of Mordor, when more time can be spent making sure everything works properly as far as this is concerned. I happen to be 1 of the people that likes the way my characters have looked for the past 10 years.

Update: I have fixed some of the test server settings so that you can now safely walk near and through the Black Gate (although it will remain visible). I am sorry that I couldn't figure those out and get them set properly yesterday. That means that you should now be able to pick up the Allegiance quest chain.
Nice one.
I did all the initial intro quests for all 4 allegiances. Well made... Most of them...
The elf instance quest , battle under the trees needs to be fixed. Your soldier runs out of power way too easily while being pretty much immortal , takes forever to complete ( auto attacking ) and its very easy to fail in the last part. Already /bugged
Ow , and what you did with the crit chance on the crafted recipes for allegiance rep is a bit cheap xD
Maybe add a crit item for increased chance ? Also , 3 black adamand shards each ?? OMG , those will be quite hard to find....... Unless they are added on skirmish camp on launch date ?
Otherwise , i can see them worth 500g each on AH , lol.
Lastly , why didn't you add a dwarf session play to witness the fall of Dain ? QQ , RIP
Give high elves passive +1 hope aura for 20m.
I started the Men chain, but it was only one instance, albeit a beautiful one. After that we need points that we get from the lost lore (find pages) quests, one in each area I suppose, some deeds and after a while from crafting.
What do you want us to test exactly? The man allegiance instance was fantastic, but that's it. I haven't been able to find all the pages from any area yet, and the only deed that I have so far is the slayer in Barad Dur, which I will certainly not complete just for that item, sorry.
Arequain Belechael, Legate of Celosien, Minas Brethil, Lebennin
I tested the first part of the "Court of Lothlórien" Allegiance quest line.
First quest, "A Council Waiting": Legolas tells you to talk to Haldir at the entrance of the Court of Lothlórien, however, advancing the quest does not port you to Lothlórien, contrary to what the text says.
If not for Wibz's post here, I wouldn't have known about the horse near Éomer either, so I imagine someone playing that quest for the first time won't instantly figure out they can use that horse to get to the Council chamber, and will be frustrated. Please fix this!
Quest chain is nowhere near true. Quest is more accurate.
Luckily I had 4-5 of the acorns so I was able to get to chapter 2 and 3. You get some items in the pending loot for this. Then you get them into your bags. You can use them and nothing happens here. No currency, no starting quest, no porting to quest giver, nothing.
I'm not sure what everyone would like feedback on, but I'm responsible for the story chapters for the Durin's Folk Allegiance and the Kingdom of Gondor Allegiance, so I'd be most interested in hearing about the storyline chapters for those two. Things like: do the quest chapters work and make sense, was the travel too much of a pain, did anything surprise you, etc.
EDIT: I'm still hooking up the VO for the Gondor Allegiance, but depending on the timing of the build, it's possible that the Durin's Folk Allegiance VO might already be in.
MoL
The first instance for Gondor was great. I would love however if the crown stopped changing in size going from the Steward to the hobbit to Gandalf.
I do not understand what the chapter 2 and 3 tokens are for. I use them and nothing happens. Would be nice to at least get ported to the quest giver. Meaning, yeah, travel could be a bit tedious if you are not a hunter or a warden and have the travel skill cooldown.
Can't tell you more because that's all the acorns I had and other quest NPCs are not visible.
I don't know if this was intended like this, but the respawn is fairly fast. While going through this camp and staying in this spot to kill 4 trolls (or was it olog) I have gotten a total of 22 coroded chests. Could open up a possibility for a certain level of exploiting. You still need to kill everything around you and pick it up and all, but still... Maybe those and the expedition leaders spawn so fast because you are counting on more players at launch and want everyone to have a chance at the box? I don't know.
And since the message will accept only one video, the other one is in this mile long article.
Well i loved the gondor one , it made sense , and i am sure VO will improve it further.
As for dwarves of erebor , even though they have - by far - the most well-designed allegiance hall , i think the initial quest should include a session-play , even a small one , to witness the fall of Dain... Those 3-4 npcs you talk to and explain the situation , don't do the job well enough imo : ((

I second this, seems weird that other Allegiances have instances/session play and this one doesn't. However, maybe this faction has something further down the road.
As for feedback on story et cetera: chapter one really needs a bit of a description as to where to find the three dwarfs. Still looking for Brothi... And of course: this beautiful version of the Hall under the Mountain could use a map!
Jep I agree with that.
But cause Hobbits already have hope for the grouip the He should get something else.
+ % tac mit, + % maxmorale....
or another nice thing would be (heavy) shield-wearing ability liek dwarves with axes.
Or give them an aura which gives the enemies somehting like dread.
Thanks for the update on VO. It's good to hear you saved it for after Bullroarer was live for a time in case of writing edits. Are you able to comment on whether the VO for the High Elf introduction is fully implemented yet, or is it not recorded/ recorded but left unimplemented?

Re: the Elladans - this is after choosing Elves, accepting the first quest from Elladan, going and talking to Legolas, and then cancelling it after continuing the quest did not transport my high elf to the Court of Lothlorien as the quest text said it would: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...GFJMEZ0RG5YYTg
(then going back to Elladan to retry the quest so I could double check the text that said continuing transports you)
