Thank you! It was tough trying to find something outside of the Epic quest set. The design of the chest and leggings vaguely reminded me of the old medium Helegrod and Rift sets and I thought it'd be best to turn towards some of the older skin styles.

Thank you, I thought so too! Of all the shoulder skins I have, those seem to fit best. Finding other shoulders that match really well has been difficult, considering the unique design and color scheme of the tunic.

Awesome it fits 100% with the war steed set!!!!
REMOVE Rohan Kingstead Homestead from the open world map it ruins the immersion and a shame for the ART.

    I disagree.

The only thing remotely similar is the blue colour. The steed set is very light with flapping cloth, more suitable for a light or medium armour approach due to the lack of any metal, or anything similar to metal.

The boots are full metal - not on the horse
The chest is full metal, not on the horse, although the horse do have a dragon on the caparison but way different.
Fur shoulder pads, no fur on horse.
    Etc.

If you all you want is a cloak with a similar colour to the horses caparison, and some dragons (any dragons), sure that might have been accomplished, but nothing else.

Among other things this just goes to show how hard it is to combine different colours with different materials, even if same colour, due to surface reflection or structure. Its very frustrating.

You dye the cloth or leather of some medium armour and expect the cloth on the steeds gear to get the same colour and it doesn't. Warden steed gear dyes completely different to Champion steed gear, as example. Is the Warden caparison metal or cloth? I don't know, is the Champion caparison metal, yes probably, due to the scaled appearance. In any case sometimes you need to use yellow for a gold like appearance, some times umber or orange... all depending on the gear material ....did i say it is tedious, in-consequent and frustrating?

    You know this Miriadel...

Also I am finding it hard to believe a real horse would be able to gallop properly with all that sheet around the legs, it needs to be shorter and stiffer.

you also know it is all matter of personal taste and opinions and perhaps you missed the character only screenshots in the previous page. with a limit of 5 pics per post, I had to split it. In this case the theme is Smaug and the black Arrow. Does everything need to be super matchy-matchy? If so, I would use a premade set of crafted items and the free warsteed set I get in the Wold and just dye them 7 different colours for 7 outfit slots. I happen to like the outfit I posted just as it is

A real steed would not be able to gallop with 99% of the warsteed cosmetics we have in the game btw

I saw the character all right.... You do know I appreciate our little conversations here, so keep calm and make another outfit.
My approach has always been a tad more realistic as I think you know, and you are of course right about the war steed gear.

Let me rephrase something, while i do not think it fits 100% to the war steeds gear, as some would have it, let me acknowledge that the general colour combination is not bad, if not the gear and its markings per se.

(I am your fan after all and brows you site often... )

heh I didn't want to come off as snippy, my bad XD If we had a matching warsteed set from the Dale barterers, it would have worked better, definitely, but as we don't have it I used the one thing that came close to it.

This outfit was inspired by a special kinship grouping event in which everyone, regardless of level, wielded starter weapons. I took it a step further with baskets of apples as an weapon overlay...and in the process, this unintended outfit was created!
