Best gear/essences for end game content

So I'm getting to lvl cap, and I'm looking for advice regarding what is the best setup for endgame. So from what I saw, it appear that the set of the Wyrm you get trading for ash is the strongest, correct? And the Northern Stronghold essences are also the strongest?

So, if I'm looking to gear up for raiding, what sort of stats should I be aiming at? How much morale, resists, etc.? I don't have much experience with late game content, so I don't really know what I'm going up against. All advice is appreciated

Yes, Northern Stronghold essences are the best available and you can enough of those essences once you finish all North Mirkwood quests (Newest region)

Regarding the gear, I would recommend getting those teal pieces without set bonus from Dor Amarth npc's, they are pretty cheap. You should be aiming for at least 150k finesse and 90k unbuffed morale right now, and once you get the t2c raid gear try to up your finesse to a bit over 200k.

With the teal pieces alone, Your mits will be somewhere close to t2c cap for Light armour, you can grind some virtues to push your mits further. So basically just use all of your essence slots for Vitality and Finesse, mostly Vit.

Read the stat bonuses on jeweleries and off hands and decide which one benefits your build more. For example just because a piece has +Agility stat instead of +Will, doesn't mean its useless for Yellow LM, as some of the agi pieces has decent finesse bonus.

    Good luck on gearing

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, I don't know what kind of stuff you can get from North Mirkwood; I've been looking for an online resource with all the available gear, but haven't been able to find it. Even the wiki on the high-encharter (barter guy) doesn't have the tooltips to most of his stuff. It's hard to plan out the gear you are aiming at when you have to go in-game and look at all the different barter items, and all the essence options.

Anyway, thanks again, guess it's grinding time for me!

The new set for Thrang looks dubious for the LM. Twio essence slots per piece dont really make up for a sub par mess of secondary stats, some of which are lower than Mordor bartered stuff. Lack of Finesse on it will mop essence slots fast and each piece is only 10 Light.

That to me susgests that Light might be on its way out as a mechanic or someone didn't do a very good job. Its a rehash of the two slot FI set from about L105

    Look at this spreadsheet: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...-plan-upgrades
It has many of the Northern Mirkwook stuff.
Outside of the raid gear you can go for the mirkwood stuff (armour & jewellery & essences), but at the moment i would wait, because the new level cap update is not far any more.
In a raid - at least on T2 - you will do the full supporter job as LM, so you need your mitigations (close) at cap, finesse 120/125K, crit chance at 24%* and morale (vitality).
You also could do Seregost for the tactical healing essence for you supporter book (legacies:Armour Debuff Potency, Signs of Power Durations and Signs of Power Debuff Rating (one legacy), Beacon of Hope Magnitude, Charged Air Reflect Damage, Target Resistance (Debuffing Skills), Pet Morale (vitality if you have the 7. slot))
ad) crit chance: you need it for healing: Waterlore, Beacon of Hope and Gust of Wind (--> for Pleasant Breeze), because all the healings and healing dots can crit and since the class changes the LM is a quite good off healer too.

There is no real need for 150 or 200k Finesse. Around 120-125K is enough. really.
