    MAC client still not working.

    I am not usually one to get upset at things, but this is a bit much.

    The Current Bullroarer client is still blocking me from entry because i do not have the "Current Client" installed, or so it says on the message I get after I log in, then get kicked out. Adding to the confusion is that this same message appears even after I have uninstalled and reinstalled the client.

    Ive taken notice that many of my fellow MAC users are experiencing the same problem, so i'm a bit disappointed that this issue has neither been officially addressed nor fixed.

    Or perhaps i'm going crazy. Are any other MAC users having this problem?

    Have you tried to use a Black Steel Key to open the client?

    Abyss Gear (Boxes) still give loot that scales beyond 115. Please fix.



    What is being done to address Shadow in Mordor dailies and instances at new level cap?
    I truly hope the above is not intentionally left in as a lazy "get out of jail" solution.

    Asking players to keep farming an old raid in order to re-farm gear they have already obtained several times over, just isn't fun.
    Neither is asking them to hold onto additional armour sets to do previously released content.

    The simplest solution is just to add LoE stats to the new gear or give us a passive skill with 200 LoE at level 120.

    Middle ground for loot locks+ a way that might make instance finder useful

    Over the past 6 days, there have been more then enough people voicing displeasure against the loot lock system and a few agreeing with SSg in why they need to be implemented, most of the people who agree with the locks talk about how they are glad that they can do it once with a guaranteed ash-able piece rather then a thousand times to perhaps get one ash-able piece, yet I think that there is a middle ground here for both of these groups, lemme explain:
    Remove the loot locks, yet drop their Armour drop rate (obviously) and add a quest to the each boss on each Tier of the instance, these quests should award gear and jewelry boxes respective to the Tier that they are in (T1= 375 gear, T2= 380 gear, T3=???). These quest should also be put on a 24 hour lock so people are guaranteed a piece if they log in, and if they wish to continue to farm the instance to acquire more, they may, but the drop rate is not very high!

    Add ash-able loot to all instances in the game (mostly 3-6 mans tho)
    The loot from every instance in this game (except all the new stuff) is complete garbage no question about it. Ash-able loot will make all scalable instance content in this game viable and people will be running what ever instance they like, this would reduce the chance of people simply getting bored with the instance content ,as everyone did with mordor, since we can run anything we want. One more thing that should be added to the game is a weekly quest that give ash or some type of reward for using the instance finder, this will make the instance finder viable and since all instance content will be run able there wont be a simple strip of content that people would run.

    As I understand it, these are from hobbit presents (can someone confirm?) and heroic lootboxes
    They are bind on acquire and toned down so the best one (40% restore over 8 seconds) is 5% heal per second for 8 seconds.
    This makes them more palatable, but with some players rocking 300k morale pools on Bullroarer that's up to 120k heal over 8 seconds.
    Still could do with some more toning down in my opinion. especially if you can use them in addition to the crafted pots.

    That's why they were not updated.

    As for the teal version i was unable to get it. It seems the loot chance for the teal box is broken.

    Stat wise , i did some comparisons across a few levels..
    The new mathom armours seem fine.
    However , our old mathom armour sets , have like 4x more stats , in low levels at least and they are only worse in terms of armour..
    Same goes for older scaled gear , like levelling lootbox gear on live , stats seem wayyy too high...

    As for levelling , all stats percentage bonuses are still increased by just logging in.
    On lvl 32 when compared to live , i currently have +100% mastery , slightly more mits ( although if i change to new mathom armour the difference will be significant ) and more crit chance due to removing the low stat caps we have on live...
    I think the biggest problem is the bloated stats on live gear , this needs to be looked at , otherwise landscape difficulty will need to be significantly boosted.

    Also , you need to completely rethink your key/motes strategy , otherwise you'll be forced to offensive changes after U23 goes live and cause another playerbase drama...
    Your decision to leave black steel keys as the 'end-game key' is the primary reason.

    On the one hand , you create a new type of ash so that players are forced to start from scratch , and on the other hand , you allow players to stack black steel keys currently on live , to get the new ash...
    Also , players will be able to do level 115 content to get keys and use them for end-game ash , meaning lvl 116+ content.
    This is completely wrong , i don't see any scenario where this system is viable.

    For anyone wondering how to complete quests in Skarháld, there's a bunch of stuff at the very top of the city that's currently very hard to reach, due to a broken staircase at [35.7N, 45.5W]. The area is still accessible, though, by going around behind the city to the west, through the overgrown area, and jumping up a different broken staircase at [35.9N, 46.7W].

    These items still drop from regular loot boxes using regular steel keys as well as hobbit presents and as such should be scaled better.

    I see what you are saying now (edited post).
    Rare (box should be purple) and Incomparable (teal) are the 2 new types of Mathom Hunter Armour.
    I was able to get the teal "Incomparable Mathom Hunter's Armour" (lower drop rate which makes sense).




    "Fine Mathom Hunters Gear" (carried over from live) is now renamed "Legendary" Mathom Hunters Armour but doesn't seem to drop from hobbit presents anymore?
    It also seems to be the most powerful (armour value/stats) due to the scaling.



    Not sure what the regular Mathom Hunter's Armour from live converts to, but I'm sure that scales too.

    You are right though, having them the same colour is a bit misleading.
    I believe their intention is to make another version of mathom armour for tank / healing / support builds.

    The new 'rare' box of mathom purple gear for example , spawns tank-stat gear for might class.
    At the same time , live mathom gear like the legendary box you posted above still has the same DPS stats that it does on live..

    However , there is a problem with the stats on live mathom gear , they have way higher stats than they should , across all levels , even though ilvl on both live and BR new mathom gear is 365...
    Same thing happen on lower level lootbox gear , like those jewels that also give virtues and on quest.
    There is a serious scaling bug xD
    I am guessing this needs some fixing : D

    Yep - pretty much all "armour selection boxes" including lower level ones and Abyss etc. have this issue.
    I'm sure you can expect the same with Osgiliath armour boxes and maybe even quest rewards which involve selection boxes like the gold MT cloak.

    Not sure if it's an easy fix, but something definitely needs to be done, even if it's doing a parse over all selection boxes and setting a restriction for each box as to what character level it can be scaled to.

    Remove ash and gear from lootboxes.

    Put them inside new instances.

    Remove daily locks from CoS, DoN and the new instances.

    Let people gear up with crafting, questing or running instances.

    I've no objection to a new currency for new rewards. What I do have a problem with is new currency for OLD rewards. All the actual gear (level 115 LoE gears) at Mordor Keeper of Mysteries (Live) has been moved to the Elf Enchanter for barter with OLD ash, but everything else (all fluff, cosmetics, pets, mounts, housing items) has been left at the Keeper of Mysteries for barter with NEW currency. Old rewards for new currency is really, really bad. Will these old items also be recycled into the new lootboxes too, to water them down? Highly likely as you now need the NEW currency to barter for old rewards, some of which have been in the game for almost a year.

    Imagine having to use Minas Tirith tokens to barter for a cosmetic item in Aldburg - same thing.

    Looks to me like lootboxes are the new mini-game thing, where everything ever put inside them, with the exception of level specific gear, will be carried on to whatever box comes next to dilute their content, going forward.

    In the hope that someone from SSG sees this. Ancient Dwarf Make LI scrolls. The new zone is predominantly dwarves, with lots of dragonkind beasties in Ered Mithrin. You'd think the dwarves there would find an LI damage type that is especially good against dragonkind to be a little bit useful, yes? A damage type that is already strongly associated with their race, yes? How many different Beleriand and Westernesse scrolls are in the game now? Bunches! How many Ancient Dwarf Make scrolls? One!

    I realise this isn't a major detail, it's fairly small in the grand scheme of things, but as that well used expression says, "Won't somebody please think of the dwarves!".

    And craftable off-hand weapons and bows? Or should we assume those will come when the new raid is added later?

    Actually, you can still buy all the stuff on day 1. Just stockpile Black Steel Keys from the various Mordor and N. Mirkwood dailies. I posted this in the build #1 feedback thread.

    Problem about that aproach is that everyone's saying that on official forums so they will most probably just find a way to avoid you actually giving some use to those keys...

    Crafting on Scholar:

    Update to morale pots on later tiers of crafting, scaling applied to the power pots as well. Far too obvious a mistake to be fair. Why do we have people who don't play with this stuff tasked with implementing it?

    Hunter oils and bow chants use to have the same duration for a given tier. Doomfold and now Ironfold oils duration have extended durations making the gap now 10 minutes. It's an annoyance to have to refresh them at different times. Again Wardens use of shield spikes is at 35 minutes duration, might be nice to match the 40 minutes of oil duration. Or just make them all 35 minutes, as it is I use lesser tier oils just to make rebuffs simpler.


    Dwarf-hold Crafting rewards vendor:

    Again no mention that recipes might have multiple outputs as per Mordor. Dev has completely ignored/missed the criticism from the Mordor release. Is this really the best you can do? It's pathetic.

    The recipes just look like a copy paste and edit of Tier 11 release which had never been so bad before. Will we have as many phased craft updates as Mordor? Having us crafters spend resources making stuff we vendor before getting to use as slightly better recipes/gear gets released?

    And still no shield recipes. Put this person on QA for a few months to learn the game, please.

    I'm assuming that these items that are now bought for the new currency will "ash" to Embers now. Will have to transfer another char after ransacking the kin house to test myself.

    I'm getting sick of the barter vendors having so much stuff to trawl through. The Traveller and Heroic boxes tooltip do not actually tell you anything of the contents, we can assume Heroic is the higher item level but there's nothing to tell your average joe. I've seen shield pics on the forums and know they can be found in the Weapon coffers but there's nothing to tell a guard or mini that they can get their shield in one, obviously they know they can't be crafted anymore for a reason that entirely escapes me.

    Feedback for U23 Beta Build 2
    1: I like that the gear coming out of the Lootboxes is not BIS anymore!
    2: I like that the new % moral potions got a 2 Minute cooldown. Please disable them for Ettenmoors pvp!!!
    3: There is still a lot of crafting missing in terms of: Focus pots etc,hope tokens and other items where we have to use lv95 crafting tier for.
    4: Feedback for new Instances on T2 difficuclty: The new instances are a joke. We did the 6man with 4 people, no tank, no healer and all had lv115 gear. No mechanics, no hard hitting mobs, boring boss fights. Note: The first boss got a mechanic that is not working so you cant remove the -95% inc dmgbuff.
    In terms of design I really like the 6man instance and it got huge huge potenzial! Please put work into it and do make it a naerbrand 2.0 desaster!
    The 3man instances are same kinda easy and boring.

    Just because everyone is saying it, doesn't mean that it will happen. I mean, everyone has been saying this game is going to die for the last 11 years and it still hasn't come to fruition. I HIGHLY doubt that they will change the functionality of Black Steel Keys before U23 goes live.

    Ransacked the kin house...

    In BR#2 can be bought for 1 Ember each, purple cyan or gold. If you ash those you got on Live they ash to 80, 120 and 240 Motes. Same if obtained in U23? Anyway if it stands you can take 42 Embers buy 42 Spires and generate 10,000 motes. WAI? Better than the other way around which what I was testing, ashing old housing items obtained with ash/motes to generate Embers, which doesn't happen.

    Too much stuff in boxes and no telling what's inside. Maybe Sev likes to open Christmas presents unlabelled and is happy when he's stuck with bath salts and someone else gets the Alienware rig.
