Seems Steely Dawn used this as inspiration, but Steely Dawn can't be dyed, this can.
    I did know that.

It's acctually the same design as the cosmetics included in Steely Dawn Starter Pack (as far as I can see) that at least used to be sold on Steam (maybe still is). Only difference is that that was white and could not be dyed, while the crafted version can be dyed as You also have noticed.

Yeah well, I still have to explore more of the Wildermore recipes and what they give. My Captain / Explorer is on it, especially the Survivors of Wildermore.

It is fun to see how one still has things to discover.

Calchiar, please observe that the Helm is actually dyed RED while the rest is Crimson.

Indeed. I recently got know about a really nice bow skin that drops as a weapon (sometimes) in an instance. From this thread. Perfect in my opinion for an Elven look. I asked a friend in-game what expansion is needed to run that instance. My main account has all already, so wasn't sure exactly which expansion. Getting the info made me buy that expansion with the instance cluster included for two more alt accounts as well.

The bow shown in this image.

I use that hauberk in a few of my cosmetic creations. There are a lot of good cosmetics available in Eriador from the Outfitters that I think are overlooked these days.

This week, the Simple Fashion theme makes a return, focusing on three of LOTRO's oldest hauberks. One thing to note--as lootboxes have changed, these may not be available from the Traveler's Steel-bound Lootboxes unlike the old ones. The only sureifre way of collecting these hauberks is to get lucky on the AH, or purchase from the Store.

Question Black on Black on Black

I have been experimenting a bit with finding the blackest outfit combo for my man male characters and war steed.

So far it has been disappointing, to many details that don't get dyed, to many different shades on materials. And, of course, the usual delimitation on what looks good according to oneself.

Anyone care to post their own thoughts / images on this?

Axe is crafted at a low tier
Cloak is the singed cloak; drop from Dar Nagarbud I think. Grey dye.
Crossbow is a third age legendary; dropped in Dunland.

I will edit the post later to be more specific on names.

I like that helm very much! Should be a quest reward in Moria. It has been on my dwarf champion ever since.

Can't answer about your cosmetics, but have you checked out the new fest WS cosmetic set? I found it very nice; already comes in all black except for a subtle silver thorny vine pattern. If you haven't seen it, you might want to pop over and look at it; each piece is only 12 tokens, very easy to get. Today is the last day for Harvestmath, but due to all the patch times that the game has been down during the festival, SSG is giving an encore from Nov 28th through Dec 12th? I think, so you could get it then.

When You get the War-Steed cosmetic parts the lantern is one part (gear slot), so it's optional. I can say that simply using the carapace piece works with many other set pieces. Dye it brown for example and it looks like a really nice leather carapace with black leather straps/belts hanging down and such. Very uxeful for various combinations. Not extravagant or flashy but a more "realistic" and down to earth design.

The Cloak of the Galadhrim, and the corresponding hoodless version, the Spider-Silk Cloak, both dye a very dark velvety black (except for the small green gem on the bottom of the hood). There are a few other cloaks with the same skin, I think.

Nice. I don't usually care too much for nautical themed outfits (too piratey usually) but I like this one. I don't think I've seen that hat before.
