This chest piece is listed as: Jacket of Osgiliath’s Fury, black dye (Ruined City instance drop lore-master armour)
Does this actual piece drop in this instance, or tokens for bartering? Is there a minimum / required level to set a Ruined City instance run in order for this piece to drop? Never done this instance before, and don't have any capped characters yet - hence asking for the future, as I definitely want to hunt for this.

I have to say that I'm impressed by how some of You in here have the eye for-, talent or skill to capture very nice screenshots, the angles, the backgrounds etc. Making LoTRO in general and outfits in particular look it' very best. Well done !!!
I used Your screenshots as the latest example of that, very nice screenshots, but quite a few others in this thread (now 212 pages long) have also impressed me over time.

I use at least the carapace on my Rohirrim inspired character. However I use another head/neck/mane piece. I can check next time I'm online what the set that the carapace comes with is called. It might be that the head piece on the screenshot is the default one, but not sure. I know I at least use another one with that carapace. It also look as if they chose not to equip any saddle.
Edit: Ok I looked it up. I didn't have to log into the game. I checked LoTRO wiki.
The neck piece I personally use with it is from the "Prized Eorlingas Steed" set (seen in the screenhots at the end of this reply/comment). I acctually think that war-steed cosmetic neck piece I use drops from war-bands, not just for rep bartering.
The carapace on that screenhost is from "Steed of the Kingstead" and that is not the default neck piece that comes with that carapace set in the screenshot above. Only the carapace is from "Steed of the Kingstead". In the image below You can see the full set and the neck piece that comes with, as well as the saddle.
The neck piece is indeed from the "Steed Of Bree".
If You're curious, the neck piece I use with that "Steed of the Kingstead" carapace is this one from this set. The white part can be dyed.

Ok.
I have tried the West Rohan Caparison and that is very similar to the Kingstead
West Rohan has different plates in front and is more "bulldozer" than the Kingstead one.
Either SSG added these, or changed the looks, because I was unaware of this, then again, I did more Warbands in Eastemnet.
Steed of Bree is also fairly new:ish.
OK. I guess I don't keep up with the game, not even for my favourite pass time, War Steeds. Sheisse.

I almost never use saddles, as I really dislike how my chars fit in them and how they usually are placed too far back on the horse (I am far from a good rider IRL but I did take several years of English lessons as an adult and learned some Western as a child, so I feel I have a decent grasp on where a saddle should sit).
I like mixing & matching my steed cosmetics as often as I can to make different looking sets, and some match up really well![]()
I did ride a few times as a kid too, mot many though and know very little, almost nothing about that. Interesting thing You bring up. Now I will probably keep an eye out irl for that. Maybe when I see mounted police in town or something. Check where the saddle is acctulay supposed to be located.
Same here. It's the thing that I like most about the war-steeds, not the combat on them, as I dislike that part (although I've gotten a bit more used to it over the years), but the variation in cosmetics and that You can dye parts. Even that You can chose the speed which changes the mounts animation, so it can look really nice for various screenshots and such. Otherwise riding them can acctually be a pain in my opinion. Especially in towns or where alot of fences and stuff ot get stuck in. Still I wopuld nevr ant to get rid of them due to all the posibilities it gives with the looks and such. I think SSG should update them with up-to-par (lvl 120) bridles as well for those that enjoy using their war-steeds alot.
